The Sunrise[Third person's POV]
Ming was yawning loudly and Wayo reflexly cupped his best friend's mouth as people was staring. You slept like a log and still dared to feel sleepy? Wayo shook his head seeing Ming's attempt to stay awake by stretching his body and rubbing his eyes. After all, they did wake up way earlier than their usual out-of-bed time.
It was 5.00 am and they were lining up to buy the entry pass for Angkor Complexes Heritage Park. There were tickets for one-day pass, three-days pass, a week pass and monthly pass. They decided to take only one-day pass since none of them were really a big fan of history. So, they would visit the main and popular temples only, instead of every freaking temples inside the complexes.
Even though it seemed way too early in the morning, but the lines were quite long. And there were more than 10 counters were opened at the same time! Could you imagine how many people that came into this complexes everyday? And most of the visitors wanted to catch up the scenic view of sunrise at Angkor Wat. Therefore, it was making sense for them to come this early to buy the tickets or else they would miss the sunrise.
Wayo and Ming were lining in the same que meanwhile Beam, Bank and Forth were lining in another que. Phana and Kit on the other hand, were lining up quite far from the rest of the group. Everyone needed to line up to buy the pass, since they will print out the passes with visitors' faces. How cool is that? Therefore, they couldn't buy the passes in bundle and everyone had to get into the line.
Wayo landed his gaze on Phana from a distance. He didn't know how he should feel or what he should do? First of all, he was supposed to be mad at Phana for stealing his first kiss, provided the kiss did happened. Did it really happen? Secondly, when Phana saw him in Forth's embrace, he couldn't help but to feel guilty all over him. It was not like he was cheating or what, right? And what teed him off the most was Phana's odd behavior towards him since they left our guesthouse. He was not sure, whether he was thinking all by himself, but he felt that Phana was giving him the cold shoulder. And he was angry as the taller man didn't have any right to be mad at him. At this moment, Wayo was clearly had no idea how to feel.
"What's wrong with you? Anything had happened?" Ming who was still groggy asked because his best friend had been frowning and scrunching his face intensely since just now. Something was wrong, he could tell.
"Nothing." Wayo dismissed the questions. He didn't know how to tell Ming about this. He afraid that Ming would overreacted if he found out about the kiss.
"Then, do not show this stressful face. Smile a little bit. Are you grumpy because you have to wake up early? And there is no nomyen for you?" Ming used his fingers to curve a smile on that fluffy cheeks. With eyes half-open, Ming tried to cheer Wayo, which Wayo simply smiled to that.
"Don't look sullen, okay? After this, we will going to see, one of the world's wonders! I've seen it on the internet. It was magnificent, seeing the sunrise at Angkor Wat!" Ming spread his arms to gesture their minds to imagine. But, seconds after that, their reverie was cut short by a loud call.
"Next!!!" The surly lady at the counter howled at them. And both of them scurried to the front of the counter.
After everyone had their own passes, they hopped on the tuk-tuk that they rented through the guesthouse. Due to the festival, most of the guesthouse contacts were on leave. However, they managed to get few Chams tuk-tuk's drivers to come over. Chams people was basically the descendants of the Champa kingdom near central-south Vietnam before being invaded by the Dai Viet kingdom from the north. In Cambodia, Chams people was predominantly Muslims and became one of the significant minorities in Cambodia besides Chinese.
