Beam was chugging on his glass for the nth time. He still couldn't make the pain go away. The image of Bank kissing a girl had been replaying inside his head proving how stupid he was. What was he thinking? That Bank was a gay like him? But he never thought himself as a gay before. He just thought that perhaps Bank shared the same feeling as he was. But what he had seen just now, proved how wrong he was. How he had made a fool out of himself. At least, he didn't confess to Bank yet. He couldn't imagine what would happen if he really done that. He was this close to confess already. He had been mustering some courage this whole time. Somehow, he glad that he hadn't done it in the first place. Or else he would face the most humiliation moment in his life!
He was at a local bar in the center town. He had asked Forth to bring him to any nearby bar to loose himself up. He needed some distraction from this fresh bleeding heart. And most importantly, he needed to be far from Bank. Forth reluctantly brought him by renting the resort's motorcycle. The journey just took 15 minutes through empty roads. It was 9.00pm when they headed out from the resort. His blurry vision looked at the clock on the wall near the bar counter and able to see that it was past midnight already. It had been three hours already but he still couldn't bring himself to forget about it. He down on a new bottle, screaming out loud in his mind, cursing himself.
Forth was at the toilet. He had been Beam's company for three hours and he didn't think that heartbroken guy would be done any sooner. He was just taking his sweet break to hale in some cigarette. He was unsure why he felt a tinge of pain seeing this part of Beam, the devastating Beam. He hated Bank for what he had inflicted on Beam, but his sense fully aware that none of this was Bank's fault. Bank couldn't help who will fall in love with him or not. And Forth had never seen Bank led Beam to think that he liked Beam in that kind of way. Forth admitted that he didn't like that boy when they first met but it didn't mean he should blame him for everything. He was a fair man. He wouldn't easily blame someone. However, he was wondering if his feeling or his heart beat for Beam was for real? He breathed out smoke and sighed deeply. He was a walking mess, in and out.
He was pursuing someone who would never reciprocate his feeling and he was also falling for someone who was heartbroken over some other guy. And he had to witness all the heartbreaking. He leaned himself against the bamboo wall of the toilet. What should he do right now? Thinking about both of the guys that he had fallen for, reflected his bad love life. Why his heart needed to beat for guys? Would it be easier if he had fallen for girls instead? Do we really have choices in love? People said, love is selfish and selfless altogether. And people said, you have choices in love but our hearts beat for someone without leaving us a choice.
Beam was already half drunk and barely conscious. But he still aware with his surrounding. Out of the blue, a guy took a seat next to him and ordered a drink. And the guy ordered Pepsi. Why Pepsi? That guy could just go to any shop and got himself a Pepsi. Why bother to come to a bar and order a Pepsi? Beam didn't know why he was ticked off with the guy just because he ordered pepsi in a bar. But he just felt the urge to reprimand that guy.
"Why on earth you choose Pepsi?" Beam half-shouted with his slurry speech.
The guy just smiled and greet him instead.
