23 | Hey, YouTube!

It had been four days since I got back home and my head was still a mess. My heart was aching and I kept doubting myself, thinking that what he did was my fault - that I shouldn't of given up on him when he came home drunk.

When I stayed with Mikey, I didn't miss Luke that much. I think seeing the state that he put Michael in made me despise him. But yet when I'm back here, all I want is for Luke's warm arm to drape over my small waist again when I'm asleep. I want to run my finger over his light stubble that outlines his sharp jaw. And most of all, I just want to hear his deep voice, the one I fell in love with when he was first introduced to me - by Alison all be it.

I shook the thought out of my head and reached for the light brown acoustic guitar beside my bed. Luke left it here before we went to Sydney, saying that he'd love to teach me sometime, which he did when we were in Australia - only a few chords and strumming patterns, but it was still a start.

Ever since I got home, I haven't stopped playing the damn thing. My fingertips were blistered from pressing on the nylon strings. I pulled out the note pad from my draw, along with a pen, and began writing down more lyrics to a song that I started writing yesterday.

I hummed the lyrics as I gently picked the strings, smiling a little when I finished it, feeling quite proud.

I heard a loud thud from outside my door, so I walked over to it, seeing Alison in the doorway with a sheepish grin on her face.

"How much did you hear?" I asked, referring to the the song.

"All of it," she giggled and I frowned.

"Don't tell anyo-"

"You should upload it to YouTube. Show the world your song. It truly is beautiful."

"You think?" I asked, unsure.

She nodded her head very quickly with a warm smile before closing the door, leaving me wondering whether I should. Luke and Alison always said my voice was good, so one video wouldn't hurt, would it? I mean, not that many people would see it anyways, I'm not exactly going to get famous from it. I chuckled at my thoughts and set up a camera on my desk. I made sure that I could be seen properly, and pressed record.

"Hey, YouTube! This is kinda a one off video because I wrote a song and I'd love to share it with any of you that are watching." I say shyly.

"Anyways, before I seem all awkward on this, I'm just gonna start. I hope you like it!" I giggle before starting to strum the strings gently and sing the lyrics that I'd written roughly an hour ago.

I got into the chorus and I really let loose, the words melodically rolling off my tongue.

"I wish that I could wake up with Amnesia."

"And forget about the stupid little things."

"Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you."

"And the memories I never can escape."

"Cause I'm not fine at all.."

I finish the song and quickly say goodbye to the camera, then quickly pressing the stop button.

I let out a sigh as I plug the camcorder into my iMac and transfer the video to my new YouTube channel that I created called "Sophie's Songs" - original, I know.

It finishes uploading and I call Alison into my room to show her I'd done it, she immediately pulled out her phone and subscribed excitedly, making me laugh loads.

"I'll tell all of my friends!" She giggled and just before I could tell her not to, she yelled "done!" - to which I face palmed myself dramatically and groaned.

After talking for a while, she left my room to go and make us some popcorn. She told Mom and Dad to go out for the night so we could spend some 'sibling time' together. They quickly agreed and left the house.

We put on Netflix and chose to watch 'Me Before You', which made us both cry. It had such a sad ending.

We spent the rest of the night talking about boys and makeup and then we listened to some music.

Our parents got back home at 11:30 pm and Alison and I soon enough called it a night and went to bed. I did my usual night time routine: got into a pair of pyjama shorts and a tank top before sliding under my warm duvet.

I quickly glance over at my phone to see a load of notifications from one of my best friends (Maggie), telling me to 'go onto channel 3 right now!' I was confused, but did it anyways.

The tv lit up and I instantly went pale. My face was plastered on the screen, showing the video I uploaded earlier today on YouTube.

I ran to Alison's room and got her out of bed excitedly, dragging her to my room to see.

"What's wrong?" She said sleepily and I pointed to the screen, her eyes becoming wide immediately.

She then ran to Mom and Dad's room and woke them up too. They were just as surprised as myself and Alison.

Holy shit, my song went viral and I'm famous.

Luke's POV (this is new, isn't it?)

I sat down at a booth in the nearest café to my house and ordered a vanilla latte. The small television in the café was switched on and that's when I saw it:

Sophie.

Her hair the same as it used to be, her gleaming eyes piercing through me like always and in her small hands laid a guitar, my guitar to be precise.

I gasped in a shock as I heard her melodic voice echo through my ears.

I stood up and pointed at the screen and exasperated loudly, "Oh my lord, that's my girlfriend!" Everyone clapped and some people were in disbelief.

And that's when I remembered that she wasn't my girlfriend, she was my ex girlfriend because I was an obnoxious dipshit.

And I knew deep in my heart that I needed to win her back.
