Kaelynns pov

"When wicked games starts playing I want you the lights to be turned down and just a spot light coming from behind me."

Abel says into the microphone letting the stage crew know. I've been here for about two hours watching him go through his whole set. I've always loved watching him take control and take his music seriously. Lamar and I were on our way to our moms house when Abel called and said he needed him. Mom didn't mind waiting to see us so we came straight over.

The opening music to Wicked Games started to play and the lights went down just like he asked. Before he started singing the spot light came up perfectly behind his body. I closed my eyes and let Abels voice serenade me. I hummed along with him and when I opened my eyes I noticed that his eyes stayed on me. I blushed and looked away for a moment. This song always gets the both of us emotional.

"Hey! How's the show looking from down here." I flinch and look at Lamar whose taken the seat right behind me.

"It's looks great I know his fans will love it." I notice the smile across his face indicating that he's been watching us this whole time.

He leans closer to me "Why don't you just stop playing and get back with him."

I roll my eyes "How many times are you going to ask? My answer isn't changing Lamar."

"Yeah, sure." He says before getting up and walking away.

The song has ended and Abel wipes some sweat off his forehead before leaving the stage. I get up and start making my way to his dressing room. I clap my hands while I walk in and he turns around and smiles.

"That was great Abel." I sit on the couch and he closes the door.

"Thank you for being a great audience." He unscrews the top off a water bottle and drinks.

"You make it easy for me." I playfully wink at him.

He smiles then says "I'm sorry I interrupted your visit with your mom."

I shrug "It's okay we are going to see her when we're done here."

He takes a seat next to me and we sit in uncomfortable silence. We often find ourselves in this situation since our breakup. It's like we're complete strangers who are having a baby together and my fucked up moods aren't helping.

Lamar and Hyghly come into the room and completely save us from the awkwardness.

"Kaelynn are you ready to leave? Mom's waiting on us, I don't want her to wait too long." Lamar says while swiftly slipping on his hoodie.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I stand and straighten out my dress.

Abel stands and I give him a hug "Bye Abel I'll see you later."

"Bye butterfly." He simply says before letting me out his embrace.

I say a quick goodbye to Hyghly and we leave the building. I doesn't take us long to get to the car. I take a seat in the front and put my seatbelt on before we drive off.

Lamars pov

I've noticed that something's wrong with my sister she isn't acting like herself. I know she misses having Abel in her bed every night but both of them are so damn stubborn. I promised to stay out of this but I can't help it I want to see them both happy. Hopefully seeing our mom will cheer her up. I look over at a sleeping kaelynn and smile slightly. I'm so grateful she found us I now have a sister and a niece.
