Vividly, the sun shon through the blinds of Jordyn's bedroom, what wakes her up is when a ray of sunshine slips through one of the gaps and runs over her eyes.
She rolls over and picks up her phone to check the time.
9:47am
Quickly, she scrolls through her notifications before rolling out of bed and making her way into the dining room.
"Too quiet." She mumbles to herself then opens up her MacBook and clicks on Spotify.
While her newest favourite song blasted out of her beats pill speaker, she decided what to have for breakfast. Jordyn sang along as she scanned her cupboards for some cereal.
She slammed the cupboard door shut, "shreddies? Is that it?" She grumbled, "only Tanya eats them and she's in California at the moment."
It's boring without Tanya, she thought to herself, the next three months are going to be so boring.
Not long after she got angry at the fact that she had hardly any food in, Jordyn's phone began to ring.
Running over to her phone, she sees that it's Will and her heart begins to race. Instantly she picks it up to hear his cute, northern accent, "hey, Jord," Will said in an excited kind of way, "look outside your window."
"Hey Will, um.. okay..." Jordyn walked over to her glass door which led out to her small balcony, "oh my god."
Will laughed, "come on Jord, we're going McDonald's for breakfast."
His car was waiting outside of the apartments and he stood at the side of it, looking up to hers. It's as if he read her mind. McDonald's breakfast. Her absolute favourite.
"Will," she smiled, "I'm not even ready yet."
"So?" Will sniggered, "come down here!"
"Fine!" Jordyn laughed, "two minutes."
She ended the phone call and raced into her bedroom, throwing on an old pair of black leggings, an oversized t-shirt which was Tanya's that she stole a while back and one of Will's grey hoodies. She tied her hair up into a messy ponytail and slipped on her ebony UGG boots she'd had for a while.
After she locked her apartment door, Jordyn ran through the hallway and rushed down the stairs, her heart skipped a beat at the thought of Will caring to show up at 10am to take her to McDonald's. Mainly because he normally sleeps in until past noon.
"Will!" Jordyn cried, she threw her arms around him and jumped up so that she could wrap her legs around his waist. She buried her head into his neck and the strong smell of aftershave hit her.
Will held tightly onto her, hugging her back. He was glad that she was there with him, just the two of them together.
Jordyn jumped down and stared at Will, a small smile creeping on her face.
"Is that my jumper?" Will asked, looking Jordyn up and down, "you're a bad person, Jordyn, you know that right?" He joked, he was happy to see her again.
Jordyn giggled after jumping into the front seat of his car, putting on her seatbelt and then plugging her phone into the car, as if it were her own. Will started the car and put on his seatbelt before driving away from Jordyn's apartment. She opened the 'Spotify' app and pressed shuffle on the playlist with all of her favourite songs.
