Jordyn and Will spent time at Jordyn's apartment before he went home for both of them to get ready to leave for the bonfire.
"I'm nervous," Jordyn said to her MacBook which was on Skype to Reyna again.
"What for?" Reyna asked as she put silvery glitter on her cheekbones.
"I don't know," Jordyn mumbled, "I just have a pretty bad feeling about it."
"Jordyn, you'll be fine!" Reyna reassured Jordyn, "stay with Will for the night if you want. You guys can cuddle up with a blanket, it's not a problem."
"Reyna!" Jordyn scoffed, her mouth dropping.
"What?" Reyna focused her attention on the Skype call before realising why Jordyn was so shocked, "oh, you thought I meant sex? No, I mean, if you want to, then go for it-"
"Reyna!"
"I meant you can just chill with him throughout the night," Reyna laughed.
"Okay," Jordyn smiled, "thanks Reyna. Now... how do I look?"
Jordyn stood up and moved her MacBook screen so that Reyna could see the full outfit.
She wore a black Calvin Klein bikini with a black velvet bomber jacket that had a snake design on the back of it and a pair of high waisted shorts over the top, but in her bag was a change of clothes in case it wasn't as warm as she imagined.
"Oh my god, Jordyn!" Reyna screamed, "you look amazing!"
"Thanks, Rey," Jordyn replied as she dialled Will's number into her phone and rang him up.
"Hey Jordyn, you alright?" Will asked her through the phone.
"Yeah, I'm ready when you are," Jordyn replied as she adjusted the waterfall braid in her hair.
"Jordyn, look outside your window," Will said as in the background you could hear a car pulling up and the door opening and after a few seconds, the door slamming.
"Will!" Jordyn shouted as she ran to her balcony, "I wish you'd tell me that you're coming first."
"Um... a bit late Jord," Will laughed as Jordyn put a pair of white Superstar trainers and some socks in her bag for later and slipped on a pair of sliders.
"I'll see you soon, Rey," Jordyn leaned down over the breakfast bar at her laptop.
"See ya," Reyna replied as she ended the Skype call, Jordyn closing her MacBook screen and racing out of her apartment, just remembering that she needed to lock the front door.
After she locked it she continued to race down the hallway, down the stairs and out the front, beginning to walk to the beach.
"Jordyn!" A familiar voice from behind her shouted.
"Hey, Maya!" Jordyn turned around to Maya and pulled her in to a quick hug.
Maya was wearing high waisted ripped jeans and a white cropped top that tied at the back. "Is it alright if I get a ride with you guys? I know it's only five minutes away, but, please?"
"Course you can," Will smiled and opened the car doors for them both, Jordyn taking the front seat next to Will and Maya sitting in the back of the car in the middle seat.
The beach was literally only five minutes away, so they got there in no time. It was already dark but the place was lit up by the fair that was opposite the beach. Screams and laughter could be heard faintly over the loud fair music blasting through speakers. The strong smell of candy floss and sugar doughnuts infected the area, instantly making Jordyn, Maya and Will crave them.
"We're actually pretty early," Jordyn stepped out of the car and looked around. The fire on the beach was lit and there was logs around it but very few people there, for it would get much more crowded later on.
"Why don't we go to the fair, Jord?" Will asked, looking up and smirking.
Maya and Jordyn glanced at each other before both nodding and all three of them running into the fair like a couple of children.
After going on a couple of rides and games, they had finished their short time at the fair and began heading out.
"Wait, guys," Jordyn stopped in her tracks and pointed at a large glass box with a man inside that was next to her, "I've always wanted to have a go of one of these!"
"What is it?" Maya looked it up and down. It looked sketchy and like a money eating machine.
"It's called Zelzar, it predicts something that will happen to you," Jordyn was so intrigued by this, but Maya didn't seem to buy it.
"It's a waste of money, Jord," Will folded his arms, "we all know that those predictions aren't real."
"It's literally fifty pence, Will," Jordyn scoffed, "I think I'll be fine without that." She put the money into the machine before it lit up and came to life right before her eyes.
The false man inside the box's eyes lit up, turning a bright green. His arms lifted up before saying 'Zelzar' and the note sliding out of the machine.
"It will tell you something stupid, like," Maya thought for second, "like you're admired by many."
"Stupid?" Jordyn blinked, "that sounds pretty true if you ask me." Jordyn laughed and then picked up the card.
Her voice began confident and happy, "you will," Jordyn paused, she frowned and her voice cracked a little, "die very soon?"
"Jordyn, put it in the bin," Will told her but she just ignored him.
"No, Will," Jordyn flipped the card onto the other side, "it says something on the back. 'You either die or survive within the next day. Good luck.'"
"It's bullshit," Maya scoffed, checking her nails before dipping her hand into her paper back with sugar doughnuts inside of it.
"Right, right," Jordyn laughed nervously before sliding the card into her pocket. She never really believed anything like this but receiving something like that can be very nerve racking.
Very nerve racking.
