A catche from another species. A chatche from another species. A catche from another species.
Dex's words echoed in Sophie's mind like a mantra.

If it was a catche from another species did elves have a right to open it? Who could they return it to? Who could they trust to keep it safe? Due to her slow walking and occupied mind, Sophie was only a minute late to detention. Who did she see there?

Keefe Sencen smirking widely at her. Sophie wondered what he would of done to get in detention on his first day back, before her mind switched back to that catche. She had unknowingly put a catche in Dex's hands. "Miss. Foster." Lady Belva greeted. "Why are you late?"

"I tripped." Sophie said blurting the only lie she could think of. Which made Rowan cough as he tried to hide a laugh. Lady Belva frowned. "I can believe that, grab your partner." Sophie walked to Rowan out of habit. He was smirking, as he held his arm out to her. "You're not hurt are you?" He asked sweetly. Sophie shook her head "I'm fine."

"So you don't need to go to the healing center?" He asked lightly. Sophie slapped his shoulder making him scoff, but quickly straightened up as the music started. Rowan spun Sophie onto the dance floor before pulling her close. "So have you talked to Marella?" Rowan asked as they other dancers crowded the dance floor. Belva however all but dragged Keefe to the dance floor. "I have." Sophie nodded following Rowan's lead with ease. Her feet had memorized the steps to the dance themselves, and were light as she danced, picking up the proper speed. Twirling, twisting and swaying. "Well?" Rowan asked as they passed Keefe and Lady Belva, at breathless speed. "I heard whispers in the halls."
Sophie said, smiling secretively.

"Come on, Sophie." Rowan and Sophie stopped and lifted them arms, Valin stood next to Rowan, holding Fiona's hands, as the dancers made an arch. Lady Belva and Keefe hurried down the arch before joining the back line. Rowan swept Sophie through the arch, "Please?" He begged turning his round indigo eyes to Sophie as he joined the other side of Keefe, as the dancers hurried through and back to twirling around. "Alright fine. But remember you owe me a favor." Sophie smiled as Keefe and Lady Belva ducked under their arms. Rowan twirled her around before dipping her, the music stopping. "I promise." He replied as he carefully made sure Sophie was sturdily on her feet.

"Good...but I think you should become her friend before you try anything." Sophie said as they quickly prepared for the next dance. "Alright." Rowan nodded as the back of their palms were together. Their free hands resting on the small of their backs. "But she likes me?" He asked as they started turning in a circle. Sophie winked making Rowan stumble. She had to grab his arm so he wouldn't fall back. "Was that a yes?" He asked. Sophie laughed as they readjusted their position, this time turning the other way. "Slightly." She nodded as she and Rowan switched and linked arms with the partners next to them, swinging around, before twirling back to each other.

"What does that mean?" Rowan asked. Sophie however was breathless from the heavy swing Lysle had given her. As if her were trying to trip her up, her he was just really enjoying dancing with Rubi.
"Just wait and see. Okay?" Sophie said, giving Rowan no choice but to nod. "You're dancing well today." He commented. "Am I?" Sophie asked, not having realized she was dancing so well. Her mind was occupied by the catche as the only logical reasoning filled her mind. "Not a single misstep." Rowan smiled proudly. "You are a good lead." Sophie smiled. As the next dance calmed Rowan sighed.

"I realized...over the weekend that you might of mistaken my...actions, and I wanted to apologize if a I misled you to believe I had feelings for you, I unintentionally did so." He said squeezing Sophie's hand apologetically. Sophie smiled up at Rowan. "I'd being lying if I said I didn't read into some of your actions -but that's my own fault- I do like you very much Rowan and I'm glad we're friends, and after thinking things over I realized I like you better as a friend than anything else. So there isn't anything to worry about." She said. Rowan grinned, "Good, cause once I realized that I might of misled you I felt horrible and I wanted to hail you but it seems as if you have a block on your hailer so nobody can hail you without your permission."
