"Detention?" Sophie sighed, as her friends echoed each other. "Please tell me, it's not till mid terms." Dex pleaded.

"For a month." Sophie sighed, "Lunch and after school."

"But we just got out of detention." Dex complained. "Besides what could you have done between Ewin's office and the leap master to get detention for a month?" He asked. "I'm afraid that's on me." Rowan's soft voice said from behind her. Sophie couldn't help the smile that spread across her face. "It was still worth it." She grinned. "I'll take your tray." Rowan offered. Sophie placed her lunch tray on his other hand. "Who are you?" Dex asked. "Wait you're one of Fitz's friends....Winter right?" Biana asked.

"Rowan Winter." Rowan corrected gently. Biana smiled. "Yeah..I remember you."

"Oh, Rowan, this is my cousin Dex. Dex, this is Rowan." Sophie introduced. "Nice to meet you. My little sister is always talking about your siblings... Non stop...she all but worships them."

"Wait, Blossom Winter is your sister?" Dex asked. Rowan laughed. "That's her." Dex smiled. "Yeah, Rex, Lex, and Bex really like her too."

"Well, me and Sophie have detention. Nice meeting you Dex. Biana." He nodded. Sophie waved to her friends before following Rowan. Opening the door, she held it open for Rowan. "Did you get your homework done last night?" Rowan asked sheepishly. "Part of it." Sophie said. "I didn't get my Elvin history complete...do you mind if I use some of your notes?" He asked. "Not at all. I finished my history anyways."

"I would of got it done, if Blossom hadn't asked me to make her an ice castle." Rowan said, as his cheeks turned pink. Sophie laughed. As they turned around the corner they found Fitz frantically digging through his school bag. "Lose something?" Rowan asked making Fitz look up. "Yeah I- Sophie?"

"Hey Fitz, did you lose something?" Sophie asked, repeating Rowan's question. "Yeah." Fitz rubbed the back of his head. "Where are you two headed?"

"Detention." They both said. "Together?" Fitz asked, his eyebrow raising. "I got Sophie in trouble yesterday." Rowan said. "How?" Fitz asked. "Me and her had a snowball fight under the leap master after mostly everyone left." Rowan said. "Why were you here after everyone left in the first place?"

"We're going to be late and get longer detention." Sophie said. Fitz already knew she was a klutz but he didn't need to know she had to go to Elwin's office, again. "You're right. Let's go. See ya around Fitz." Rowan said. Sophie having a hasty wave rushing after him.

In detention, Sophie finished the rest of her homework with Rowan, as they served their punishment. Rowan wrote in the margin of his notebook.

Sorry I got you in trouble. I'll make it up to you.

Before scooting his notebook between himself and Sophie. Sophie smiled, before writing.

It's nothing to worry about.

Rowan read her note before writing, his writing was neat and easy to read.

Can I still make it up to you?

Confused, Sophie wrote a quick answer.

Sure...

Rowan grinned before pulling his notebook back. Sophie shook her thoughts away as the chimes rang through the hallway, letting the prodigies know lunch and detention was over. Sophie gathered her books, she had finished her lunch. Rowan quickly followed her out of the room.

"What do you have next?" He asked. "Linguistics." Sophie sighed. "You don't sound to happy about that." He said, his voice tying Sophie to him in a way she couldn't explain. "It's one of my harder subjects, I can pass it, it's just that Lady Cadence doesn't like me very much."
