Chapter 21

lunch time! Said Zachs mom, we all walk into the kitchen and there is a big lunch sitting on the counter. There was a big salad, with steak, potatoes, and rolls.

Zach: Thanks mom

Zachs mom: your welcome honey

Corbyn: let's eat I'm starving

Zachs mom: Okay but the birthday boy goes first

Zach: yay

Once everyone starts to eat zachs mom asks me a question.

Zachs mom: so where are you from?

Me: I am from a little town a LONG way away from here called Evart

Zachs mom: what do your parents think about you coming up here for a few days?

Me: I actually live here with the boys now but my parents don't really care because I don't know them much they are always away working and I lived in a apartment by myself anyway

Zachs mom: Are you sure it's a good idea, you know living here with aren't you afraid you might get some feelings for someone?

Me: I only have my eyes on one person in this world actually

Zachs mom: really who is that?

Zach: Mom?

Zachs mom: yeah

Zach: Mari and I are dating

Zachs mom gets up and walks outside and everybody looks at zach and I. Zach follows and so do I.

Zach: mom what's wrong?

Zachs mom: I am not okay with you dating someone you barely know

Zach: Mom I have known her for almost seven months

Zachs mom: and you think that's enough?

Zach looks back at me and notices I am walking away inside and he follows me. I walk into my room crying and I shut my door. I lay on my bed and I hear a knock on my door.

( knock knock )

Mari: who is it

Zach: your boyfriend

Mari: what do you want?

Zach: to talk to you so please unlock the door

I get up and I unlock the door and I walk back to my bed and than the door opens.

Zach: whatever my mom says doesn't matter

Mari: yes it does she doesn't like me and if we are dating don't you think that she should

Zach: I know my mom isn't happy with us being together right now but she will be eventually

Mari: so your not breaking up with me

Zach: why would I breakup with someone that means the world to me?

Zach leans in and kisses me and than we hear a car pull out of the driveway.

Zach: who was that

Mari: I don't know
