chapter 42

Zach comes up later to my room with my food and he puts it on my night stand than gets in my bed on he other side.

Zach: do you wanna watch some tv?

Mari: yeah Sure

Zach: how does suicide squad sound?

Mari: good I love that movie!

Zach selected that movie and it started to play. When all of the sudden my ribs started to hurt, I just brushed it off and thought it was probably from me throwing up this morning. When the movie ended Zach was asleep and I got up to go to the bathroom down the hall and all of the sudden I collapsed. Jonah came out of his room and ran over to me.

Jonah: MARI!! Are you okay?

Mari: I... can't...breath...!?

Jonah: HELP PLEASE SOMEONE!!!

Jack came running out of his and Corbyn room followed by Corbyn and he got out his phone and called 911. Next all I could see was blue and red lights as they came and took me away along with Zach. He didn't look good he was crying. Everything was blurry and I can't really remember what happened next only me waking up with Zach and jack by my side.

Mari: hey I what happened?

Zach: MARI!! You are awake!!

Next jack yelled for a nurse and she came in and explained what happened to me.

Nurse: so now we are going to run some test to see what's wrong with you

Mari: okay when should we know?

Nurse: like a day or two not to long

Mari: okay thank you

Nurse: no problem if you need ANYTHING just holler or press the assistance button

The nurse exited my room and so did jack he was going get some food from the cafeteria. Than I started to cry Zach wrapped his arms around me and he hugged me tight.

Zach: I know things are hard right this second but you never know what is going to happen

Mari: I just don't want to be here I want to be home with you snuggling watching tv and eating that disguising soup you made!

Zach: was it really that bad?

Mari: yeah it was pretty bad babe

Zach: well we can still do them things here

Zach got up and turned on the tv and got in my bed with me and cuddled me.

Zach: it may not be the exact same but it is pretty close

We watched tv for a long time until we both fell asleep. When I woke up it was the next day but zach was still sleeping. Than the nurse came in so I woke him up.

Nurse: I am afraid we have bad news

Mari: what is it?

Nurse: your lungs are not good they collapsed yesterday that's why you couldn't breath and it caused damage to them that is unfixable

Mari: what does that mean?

Nurse: it means you only have one year left to live unless we can find you some new lungs for a transplant

Zach got up and ran out of the room crying and I seen Jonah start to run after him. The tears starts to role down my face I hate that zach is hurt now all I want to do is make him happy I don't want him to worry about me. I asked the nurse if I could go home and she said tomorrow I could. Now it has been like five hours since I have seen any of the boys I wonder how Zach is and if the guys have heard the news. Than jack walks in crying.
