Chapter 24

(Maris p.o.v)

I can hear people all around me saying things that make no sense, they are yelling for doctors and nurses.

Doctor: female has third degree burns on left side, and has a gash on right leg she is going to need surgery.
Nurse: I will get her into the operation room we will need someone to come scrub in for the surgery.
Doctor: I'm on my way

Why can't I see anyone? Where is Zach? What is going on? These are questions that all scrambled in my head. Than I hear him.

Zach: is she okay?

I can't answer him, I want to see him so bad.

( Zachs p.o.v)

She didn't have her seatbelt on she didn't get the chance to after I gave her, her present than the car started to roll. This was all my fault i shouldn't have gave her the present until we got to the restaurant, why was this happening.

Me: can I see her soon?
Doctor: she is in surgery but I Will let you know when the time comes.
Me: thanks

I walk over to the waiting room and I wait. Hours pass and than he comes out.

Doctor: she is out of surgery she isn't awake yet but you can see her
Zach: okay I'm coming

I follow the Doctor into the room and she is sleeping. She looks so beautiful when she is sleeping. Why couldn't it be me the one who got hurt?

Me: Can I be alone with her please
Doctor: yeah

I start to talk to her a little bit

Mari I know you can't hear me probably but I just want you to know that I love you and I am so sorry I never meant for this to happen I just wish that I could start the day over so that I could make things good for us.

I go to give her a kiss and when I start to walk out I hear her call my name

Mari: Zach? Wait
Zach: I'm here babe what is it
Mari: I love you too
