Chapter 12

Stiles pov
"If the Dread Doctors didn't like coming into Eichen House because of them, maybe we can use them to protect Hayden." Scott said
"Okay, so, besides Eichen, where's the strongest convergence?" I asked
"We're standing on it." Scott said
"You want to hide her in the high school? For how long?" I asked
"If we have to, all night. Liam convinced Hayden not to say anything to her sister yet. She's working a double tonight, and she thinks Hayden's staying at Abigail's." Scott said
"But it's just a school though. You know, it's not exactly a fortress."
"Lydia's got an idea for that. Remember how Valack quoted Tesla? Frequency and vibration. She thinks he wasn't saying that just to sound smart. She thinks maybe it was a clue."
"To do what?"
"Disrupt their frequency. Parrish took three cell phone jammers from the station. He thinks he can broaden their range of frequency. It's a long shot, but it's the best we've got right now. "

Third person
That night at the school, Parrish, Lydia, and Malia unload the cell jammers from Parrish's car.
"We're betting our lives on these?" Malia asks.
"I think we're betting Hayden's and Abigail's life on them," Lydia replies. They the jammers up around the school and gather in the boys lockers room. Scott has a heavy bag with him. Malia stations herself out in the hallway. Parrish stands outside with his gun ready.
Lydia corners Scott
"Is it me or is Liam not aware of the second part of the plan?" Lydia asked
"I'm still not sure if there's going to be a second part." Scott said.
"Or if it's going to work."
Lydia finishes for him. The Doctors arrive at the school. One of them sends a burst of electromagnetic energy through the school. It affects the PA system and makes Parrish's car stereo emit sound. The frequency is 97.1.

Abigail's pov
I stare at myself in the mirror my eyes now glowing purple.
"Don't worry, you learn to control it." Liam said walking up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I'm not like you. I wasn't bitten or born with all these extra things. I was... ...somebody's science experiment." I said
" I know, but you're gonna be okay. I promise. I'll be here for you" Liam said to me
"What am I?" I asked
"You're Abigail, I'm liam and we're in this together" Liam said smiling causing me to smile.

Scott's pov
I watch Liam and Abigail get closer and closer by the second and sigh knowing that what I'm doing could not only hurt Abigail but liam too. Down one of the rows of lockers, I see a leash being dragged across the floor. I get up to follow it when Lydia interrupts me.
"Scott? I was just thinking since we can't use our phones, we can't check in on Stiles and Theo."
"I didn't even think about that."
"Me either. So we're standing here waiting for guys in masks and breathing tubes to show up."
"But who or what are Stiles and Theo waiting for?"

Abigail's pov
Liam, Hayden, Lydia, Scott and I are in the boys locker room, waiting. Hayden has falling asleep on the floor and I'm leaning against the locker almost asleep.i notice Liam getting up and open my eyes slightly to see Liam going over to the black bag that Scott brought in earlier. He opens the bag and pulls out chains.
"What were you going to do with these?" Liam asks turning to Scott.
"Brought them just in case." Scott said
"In case of what?" Liam asked
"In case we had a chance to catch one of them." Lydia said.
"If we can't make the school a fortress, then maybe we can make it a trap." Scott said
"They're coming for Abigail and Hayden, doesn't that mean they're the bait?" Liam said
"Liam, we brought them here to protect them." Lydia said
"And now they're bait." Liam said
"Am I? Scott?is that why I'm here?" I asked standing up
"No. No one's bait. But we can't be bodyguards to everyone every night." Scott said.
"Then why aren't we talking to Stiles' dad? Why aren't we doing something better than hiding in a school?" Liam said wrapping his arm around my waist as Hayden stirred awake.
"Because we still don't know anything about them or what they want, okay? They're winning and we don't even know what the game is." Scoot said
" What if they come in here and those things don't work? What if you have an asthma attack again? What are we gonna do?" Liam said.
"I don't know." Scott said.
"This plan sucks!" I said.
"You got a better one? Kids are dying! And they're next. So, somebody has to do something. Somebody has to save everyone. So somebody's got to be the bait!" Scott says
"What's happening?" Hayden asked, I went over to tell her what's happening and calm her down.

Liam's pov
"Scott. Promise me you'll do everything you can to save her." I said looking at Abigail and then looking back at Scott.
" Scott... Promise." I said looking at him
"I'll do everything I can. I promise." I said.
