Chapter 14

Scotts pov
"You don't remember anything?" I asked kira, talking about the dead girl with Kiera's sword in her.
"Nothing. It was like sleepwalking. Suddenly I'm just standing out in the middle of the road." Kira said.
"Okay, we'll figure it out." I said
"What about Liam, Abigail and Hayden?" Kira asked
"We're all meeting at my place to try to come up with something. I don't wanna leave you, but I...I've got to find them." I said
"I know. My mom's taking me home anyway. We have to talk to a lawyer. There's nothing anyone can do right now. You should go. Scott... You don't think it was me, do you?" Kira asked
"No. No, of course not." I said

Scott walks in on Corey and Mason, he walks right up to Corey and digs his nails into the back of his neck.

Abigail's pov
I am trying to free Liam from the huge needle in his veins.
"I'm sorry, are you okay?" I say when I finally get the needle out of Liam's arm.
"It'll heal.We'll both heal. " Liam said, but then Dread Doctors get to us and inject both of us with more strange substances.

Lydia's pov
"Don't get too close." I said to Mason as Scott has his claws in Corey.
"What is he doing?" Mason asks
"Tapping into Corey's memories. It's usually something only Alphas do." I said
"Is it as dangerous as it looks?" Mason asked
"Probably more." I said. Scott collapses a bit and pulls his claws out of Corey.
"What the hell did you do to me?" Corey asked
"You'll be all right." Scott said
"There's blood." Corey said feeling the back of his neck
"You'll heal. Listen... I think it worked. I saw something. There were tunnels. Pipes along the walls. There were these huge blue pipes at the entrance. Two on both sides." Scott said as I drew what he was saying
"Wait a second I know this. I've seen this before. That's one of the tunnels I used to skateboard in. Remember my dad caught me one time and told me to never go back?" Stiles said
"It's the water treatment plant." Scott said just as there was a knock on the door. We all rush to the door to see who it is.
"Hayden?" Scott asks as he opens the door to see Hayden
"The have Liam and Abigail" Hayden said
"We thought they had you too" I said
"They let me go. But I don't know where from I was unconscious" Hayden said
"Why would they let you go?" Scott asked
"I think because I'm dying" Hayden said moving her hand from her nose to show us the sliver liquid running down her face.

Liam's pov
"Abigail? Abigail, wake up." I said . I heard the sound of her whimper as she awoke.
"Where are we?" She asked her eyes fluttering open.
"I don't know." I said as we heard grunting then giggles
"Sorry, I probably should've warned you." A boy said.
"Who are you?" Abigail asked.
"My name's Zach. And I think the better question is... What am I? It's okay. I'm just like you. One of the experiments. Hey, maybe you could help me with something. The guys, in the masks... They took something off my back. I don't know what it was, but I can feel part of it still there." Zach said
"You want us to look?" Abigail asked
"Is that okay?" Zach says turning around a lifting up his shirt. We take a look at his back and it looks like wings might have been severed. Now there are winged chimeras involved? What next?

Scotts pov
"Scott... Scott, slow down. Just think for a second, okay? Mason shouldn't be going." Stiles said
"Liam's my best friend. I'm going." Mason said
"Oh, did you suddenly get super wolf powers? I wasn't aware of that development." Stiles said to Mason
"Well, if you're not going, I could use the help." I said to stiles
"No, I'm coming just as soon as I talk to my dad. They're moving the body and he wants to make sure that this time no one steals it." Stiles said
"How's he gonna do that?" I asked
"I don't know. But whoever took the last one was strong enough to flip my Jeep." Stiles said
"We can bring Theo." I said
"Maybe I better stay here. You know, in case the Doctors decide to make a house call for Corey." Theo said
"Scott, Stiles is right. We need to slow down and think." Lydia said
"I am thinking... about how Liam and Abigail could already be dead. I mean look at Hayden" Scott said
"You could've hurt him, Scott. Really hurt him." Lydia said talking about Corey
"I have to find Liam." I said

Abigail's pov
"We're not getting out of here." Zach said as Liam tried to get us out
"You could be a little optimistic." I said
"It's kinda hard when you watch three people get dragged out of here screaming." Zach said
"What happened to 'em?" Liam asked coming to sit back next to me.
"They were failures. That's all they said. First, you forget. You don't know who you are or what you're doing. Then you get violent. I watched two of them almost kill each other. One of them had a nasty looking cut just like that." Zach said pointing to the cut on my side
"Don't worry. Black is okay. It's only really over when you start bleeding other stuff. When it starts turning silver..." Zach said
"Mercury." I said
"That's when they know you're really a failure." Zach said
"How many more failures are there supposed to be?" Liam said
"Who knows? But doesn't it make you wonder what the success is going to look like? I mean, what are we turning into? Something with claws and fangs? Something with wings? Something worse." Zach said as I grabbed Liam's hand.

Scotts pov
"Can you catch a scent?" I asked malia
"There's too many chemicals." She responded

Abigail's pov
"They're coming." Zach said as he begins bleeding silver which is not a good sign.
"Oh, God! No, no, no, no." Zach said the dread doctors enter and drag Zach out of the cage.
"Help me! Help me! No! No! Wait! No! Help me!" He shouts as they drag him away while Liam and I watch helplessly
