Chapter 16

Abigail's pov
"I'll see you second period for History, okay? Then lunch." Liam said
"I have Math after that." I said
"So, I'll find you at the bell." Liam said
"They only come out after dark though, right? You don't have to check on me every period." I said. Even though it's really cute when he does.
"I want to." Liam said
"Okay." I said
"You're gonna be okay." Liam said I smiled at him, leaned in and kissed him. As we pulled away from the kiss I notice some Mercury running down my nose.
"Don't tell anyone. You can't tell anyone." I said

Lydia's pov
"It's almost like this thing doesn't want to be found." Stiles said while him and I were looking for the Nemeton.
"Maybe it knows we're late for class. Because we've been here twice." I said looking at the surrounding area.
"Crap." Stiles said.
"Can we talk to Parrish now?"I asked.
"Hang on. If the Nemeton's covered in bodies, shouldn't you be able to find them?" Stiles asked me
"Me?" I asked
"Yes, you. That's what you do. You're the Banshee, you find the bodies." Stiles said
"Well, the Banshee's having an off day, so how about we talk to Parrish?" I said.
"We can't. One of the bodies...One of them... One of them could be... One of them could be a clue." Stiles said
"I'm leaving now, Stiles. I'm going to talk to Parrish and tell him he's the one taking the bodies. It's always better when they know."I said
"Well then, he should know he owes me a Jeep."stiles said

Scotts pov
I hear Liam in the locker room and approach him.
"Hey.What are you doing?" I asked
"Nothing." Liam responded
"Hey, Liam, just remember it's a full moon tomorrow. And you're probably already starting to feel it." I said
"I know." He replied
"It's a supermoon. Which means it's gonna be closer to the Earth..."
"Yeah, I... I know what it means." Liam said a bit dismissively.
"Okay. Well, just remember, I'm here for you." I said causing Liam to slam his locker door shut and turn to me.
"You going to chain me to the tree again?" Liam asked
"All I meant was, it might be a good idea if we stick together. So we can protect each other." I said
"We can't protect anyone." Liam said exiting the locker room.
Theo's pov
"You guys are sure that's where Parrish is taking the bodies?" I asked talking to stiles about the nemeton.
"Lydia says that's what happens in his dream." stiles said
"I mean, you know if Lydia finds the Nemeton, she's also going to find Donovan" I said then apologising upon seeing the look in stiles face.
"She's also going to find Josh.You know what, maybe she should. I think things are different now for Scott. Especially after what he did to Corey. I don't think he's going to blame us for defending ourselves.I know he won't blame you." I said

Masons pov
"You're getting stronger." I said to Corey
"Does this mean I'm their success?" Corey asked
"I don't know.But Scott might. I know the last time you saw him wasn't his best day. But he's trying to help. More than most people would." I sits.

Third person
Theo tries to tell Scott about Stiles when they hear sirens. Corey is being rushed out of school bleeding mercury everywhere.

Abigail's pov
"It's Corey, isn't it?" I asked noticing the ambulance rushing away.
"Yeah. They're taking him to the hospital." Liam said.
"That means I'm next. They're coming for me." I said
"They're coming for all of us, which is why we have to get out of here." Liam said, grabbing my hand and walking me away from the scene.

Scotts pov.
"Open the glove compartment." Theo told me I did and saw a wrench
"It belonged to Stiles. He dropped it at the school". Theo said.
"Dropped it when?" I asked
"When he killed Donovan."
"What are you talking about?"
"You know he hurt his shoulder, right? You smelled the blood." Theo said
"That was the Jeep. He said the Jeep's hood fell on him." I said
"No, no, no, that was Donovan. He went after Stiles at the library. I only saw the end of it. And when I saw what Stiles was doing... I couldn't stop him. I shouldn't... I shouldn't be telling you this. You should hear this from him..." Theo said
"Tell me." I said
I saw Donovan go down. Stiles hit him with the wrench, and then, he just, he just kept hitting him. Uh, maybe it was because he... He threatened to kill his dad. Or maybe Stiles thought he had to keep going to defend himself, but he just... He kept hitting him." Theo said
"That's not possible." I said
"He crushed that kid's skull. I heard it cracking and splintering. By the time I pulled Stiles off him, half of Donovan's head was caved in. It didn't even look real. I keep telling myself that it was self-defense...It was self-defense, but...Scott, I'm sorry. I've never seen anything like it. And I've never seen anyone that angry. You... You should talk to Stiles. You have to talk to him." Theo said

Parrish's pov
"So, if this place is so important, how come you didn't want to show it to me before?" I asked Lydia as I drove.
"Well, the problem is it's not easy to find." Lydia responded
"Should we put it in the GPS?" I asked
"Not exactly." Lydia said
"So, how are we going to find it? Because I don't remember ever being anywhere near a giant tree stump."
I think you're already starting to remember." Lydia said.
"How do you know that?"
"You just took a right turn."

Malia's pov
"Malia? Hey. Hey. What happened?" Stiles asked chasing after me.
"I hate this.I hate losing like this. I'm not like Scott. I can't deal with another body. Another failure." I said

Lydia's pov
"Anything look familiar?" I ask Parrish as we walk around the woods.
"Nothing. I'm trying, but it all looks like woods to me." Parrish said.
"Maybe you're thinking about it too much. Maybe it's something you need to feel." I said. His eyes turn orange as he turns and spots the location of the Nemeton with the bodies around it.

Abigail's pov
Liam and I are planning on running away together to escape everyone.
"You know the combination?" Liam asked referring to the safe at Sinema
"12-34-56." I said.
"My Mums going to go out of her mind worrying about me." I said
"We'll come up with something to tell her." Liam said
"How far are we gonna go?" I asked.
"Wherever's far enough, I guess."
"What if I turn out like Tracy? What if I hurt you?" I asked.
"I'll get over it." Liam said smiling and leaning down to kiss me. We take money from Sinema and are about to leave when, the Dread Doctor appears out of nowhere.We duck behind the bar trying to hide from the Dread Doctor who begins smashing his way around. He makes his way around the back of the bar but Liam and I are making a run for it. Unfortunately we run into another Doctor who knocks Liam off his feet. Liam is being beaten up by the Dread Doctors.
"Run. Abigail, run!" Liam yells, but luckily Scott comes in to save the day and they manage to keep me out of harms way. The insane part is that nothing they do seems to effect the Dread Doctors. Scott can't even keep up with this dreadful enemy but Theo comes in and tries his luck. Liam calls out for me but I'm captured by the dread doctors and injected with a substance. I don't die and both Liam and I are confused.
"I'm okay. Really, I think I'm okay." I said to Liam as Scott rounded the corner
"I saw the needle go in, and her eyes just filled up with mercury. They turned completely silver." Liam said holding me close to him obviously afraid for me.
"She looks okay. Maybe she'll heal." Theo said.
"Or maybe she won't. What if something's happening to her on the inside?" Liam said.
"I'm right here guys. Can you maybe not says stuff like I'm about to die?" I said.
"Get them to the Animal Clinic. I'll meet you there." Scott said. Once we get in Theo's ute we're driving as fast as Theo can to the animal clinic.
"Keep her awake. I don't think it's a good idea for her to fall asleep." Theo said noticing me drifting off on Liam's shoulder.
"Abigail? Abigail, you gotta stay awake." Liam said stroking my hair.
"I'm so tired." I said truthfully
"Yeah, I know, but you can't go to sleep." Liam said.
"I'll be fine. Hayden was fine" I said.
"Actually her body was found a week ago, Scott told us not to tell you" Theo said
"Scott would have said something to us" Liam says
"He didn't want to worry you guys" Theo responded as I drifted away a bit more.
"Abigail, keep your eyes open" Liam said stroking my cheek.
"How do we help her?" Liam asked looking to Theo
"I don't know. When it's wolfsbane poisoning, you burn it out. But I don't know anything about mercury. Especially a kind that's probably been altered by them." Theo said.
"Is she going to heal?" Liam asked.
"I'll be ok" I said.
"The problem is she's not really like us, Liam. None of them are. They're more like, like cheap knockoffs. She might not be as strong as we are. Or heal like we do. She's not a real werewolf." Theo said.
"What if we turn her into one?" Liam as,ed
"Nice idea. Except you and I can't do that." Theo said.
"But Scott can." Liam said.
