PART SEIS
I wake up to the warmth of the sun shining on my face. I open one eye and observe that I am lying on the couch, my head resting on the Doctor's chest. Feeling it rise and fall. I sit up slowly and yawn, waking the Doctor up also. He opens his eyes sleepily and smiles when he sees me. He moans and stretches his neck, revealing that wonderful jaw line. We sit together on the couch for a moment when I say "Did we really fall asleep on the couch?" "I suppose we did. I enjoyed it." he replies, his voice sexily scratchy. "Last thing I remember we were in the middle of a very passionate kiss. I'd like to finish it." He closes his eyes and leans in. I grin at his suggestion but put my finger against his lips. "Not until you brush your teeth."
.
"There's only two more weeks until September the 1st, the day school starts back." I explain to the Doctor as I tie my shoes, getting ready for another work day. "You only have 14 more days until you start your first job. Are you ready." "Oh, yeah." He says back quickly. "You know how much I love students." "You're nervous aren't you!" I exclaim, grinning wildly. "The Doctor, who faced descisions that could have ended the world, who fought and defeated evil robots time after time, is nervous of a day job!" I can't help but laugh. "I am not!" He says defensively with a twang of playfulness in his tone. "You'll be fine." I say giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "Just... be yourself. Actually don't do that." I laugh and walk right out the front door, grinning to myself.
.
Work, as usual, is as dull as ever. A child threw up near the dressing rooms, and guess who had to clean it up. Sometimes I hate this job. I'm not paid to be a janitor. As I'm wiping up puke, my workmate Juliet stands over me. I look up and ask "What do you want." She raises an eyebrow. "Well well well there's no reason to get snappy." She grins down at me. "Sorry, I'm just not in the mood, Juliet." I stand up. She squints her eyes at me. "Are you alright?" "Yeah, I'm brilliant." I say sarcastically. "That's why I'm cleaning up vomit." She laughs and replies "How did the coffee date with Pete go?" I groan internally. The last thing I want to do is relive yesterday's coffee with Dad. "Well long story short I told him how I felt about Mum and he just got up and left." "Ouch. I'm sorry." She says sympathetically. "I really think you need to sit the both of them down, together, and talk about your problems." Juliet really is a great friend. "I learned that talking doesn't fix all the world's problems." I say firmly. "I'm done trying to reason with Mum, and Dad doesn't even want to listen to me." She throws her hands in the air in mock frustration. "That's just my opinion." "How about we talk about something else?" I suggest pleadingly. "Alright," she smiles. "Have you gotten anywhere with getting that Doctor of yours a job?" I am relieved to talk about the Doctor. "Actually, he managed to get one all by himself!" Her eyes widen in shock. "Doctor? By himself? I don't believe it for a second." We both laugh and continue cleaning the floor.
