Kehlani "Queen" Jackson
My eyes fluttered open and blinked a few times to adjust to the semi dark room. It was quiet so I assumed Twain had stepped out for a while.

Suddenly I heard footsteps coming from someone who sounded like they were ascending the stairs. And this person definitely wasn't Twain. They were lighter, softer. It couldn't have been Duke because I didn't hear the rattling of his collar. So that could only mean one thing...

The door flew open and rushing in came none other than Yandi with a huge smile on her face. "Tatiyana she's awake!" She screamed as she jumped on the bed. Tati came barreling in shortly after and sat on the other side of me. I looked at the two of them suspiciously before Yandi screamed, "Bitch tell us what happened at the doctor! Are you pregnant or not?"

I looked to both of them, they were some of best and only girl friends I've ever had. I don't know what I would do without their crazy asses. So I sat up and looked between the both of them as I spoke, "I love you guys. You've always been there for me. Hell you've saved my life on multiple occasions. And I know you'll both make wonderful Aunts."

They waited for a moment as I nodded my head before they both started screaming and jumping up and down on the bed like monkeys. We all embraced tightly as I smiled wide.

"But there's still a small problem," I sighed and they looked at me with questioning faces. "Now that I'm pregnant I want to be the best mother I can be and give this child the life they deserve. Which means I-"

"Which means you want to leave the game again," Tati smiled sadly. Yandi however still looked slightly confused.

"So what's the problem? You were out once. What makes this time different?" Yandi asked.

"Before when we thought Twain was dead, X and I went to the reading of his will. One of his final wishes was that I be released without the exit ritual. But once we realized that he wasn't really gone, I came back and stepped in as a temporary leader-"

"Yeah but, you were never properly sworn in again. You shouldn't have to-"

"Yeah I shouldn't have to. Or at least that's what I thought. Until I realized that because Twain isn't dead, I'm no longer extradited from the cartel. Because it doesn't have to be fulfilled until he's actually dead. In other words, it's like I never left in the first place."

The girls stayed a little while longer trying to come up with different ways to avoid an exit ritual, but I just smiled through it and brushed it off. I didn't want them to worry about me. Hell I was debating about bringing it to Twain's attention. With me being pregnant he would do everything in his power to make sure nothing happened to me.

I sat down on the couch with a sigh and rubbed my eyes. Stress was the last thing I needed right now. I needed to stay one hundred percent completely healthy. With what happened to Twain's last baby, I was going to make sure nothing happened to ours.

Images in my head of our baby running around enjoying life caused me to smile a little. I placed my hand over my stomach softly and looked down at it for a while. It was insane how there was a person growing inside of me. Not to mention the fact that it's partly because of the love of my life, who I once thought was dead. Life's crazy in more ways than one but this, I can't wait for. And I can't wait to meet him or her.

The door swung open and Twain walked through with a bag of food in his hand. I got up to greet him with a smile. "Hey, I was going to cook tonight."

"Don't worry about it ma. We can cook tomorrow," he smiled. I tilted my head while I looked at him questioningly. "What?" He asked.

"Nothing you just seem, different. That's all. What did you do today?"
