Chapter 10

Woooooooooo!! Chapter 10!!! Finally!!! Sorry it took so long, this is the longest chapter I've ever written!!!

Two days.

Two more days before he had to get on a train and head back to university.

Two more days until he could see Ushijima again.

Tendou missed him so much. He didn't really know why; it's not like he hadn't spent a week without seeing him before. Maybe it was the distance.

He was at the kitchen counter in his house waiting for his mom to finish getting ready.

It was currently 5:30pm and they had decided to go out to celebrate his first semester at university. Tendou usually didn't like celebrating, but since it was his last full day with his mom he allowed it.

"I'm almost done, sweetheart!" His mom called from upstairs.

He heard the patter of her feet coming down the stairs. She came down and Tendou stared at her in awe.

Her long auburn hair was curled in soft locks coming down to her mid-back. Her grey eyes were lined with black eyeliner accenting their beauty. She wore a grey long sleeved dress - the same colour as her eyes - that flowed around her knees. Her feet were covered by black flats - which he noticed were new.

"You look amazing, mom," he told her.

"I try my best, Hon."

Tendou laughed at her words. His mom had always been the type to make jokes and comments of that genre.

"Are we going to be late to the movie?" She asked.

"No. But it'll be close."

"Alright then! Let's get going!"

The movie they went to see was Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

They considered themselves to be nerds, since they heard it was coming to theaters, they decided to go see it on opening night.

"That was the best sequel I have ever seen!"

"I know. It still blows my mind."

His mom grabbed his hand and pulled Tendou into a hug.

"I love you so much, sweetheart."

"Love you too, mom."

They walked to the car and hopped inside.

"I know you hate going out, but we have one more thing on my list of things to do tonight."

Knowing he wouldn't get any answers out of her, Tendou kept his mouth shut and stared out the window.

They arrived in about ten minutes. He got out of the car and found himself standing in front of the restaurant they went to as a family.

"We haven't been here in a while and I thought it'd be a good idea to have a celebratory dinner here."

"Thanks, mom."

They headed inside and grabbed their usual booth in the corner. Taking out their menus, he skimmed through the food choices that were familiar to him.

"So how has university life been for you? I know it must be somewhat difficult to get adjusted to it."

"Yeah it's been difficult at times but I have these amazing friends who make it worthwhile." HE smiled thinking of Semi, Shirabu and Reon.
