*time skip to the first day*

Tendou's alarm blared loudly in his quiet room. He groaned covering his head with a pillow as he reached with one hand, blindly searching for the cause of the noise. He finally found the power button on the side and switched it off. He lay in bed unmoving. Finally peeking out from under the pillow, he looked at the time. The clock read 6:51.

He slowly removed himself from his bed. His first class started at 8:00 but he had wanted to get there earlier on the first day. He stepped towards his closet and grabbed a pair of jeans and a scarlet t-shirt. He carefully slipped on a black sweater and stepped out of the room towards the kitchen.

Tendou started looking through the fridge and tried to find something to eat. Having not found anything, Tendou thought better of it. It's too early, I'm not hungry. Moving to sit down at the counter, he looked around his dorm. It wasn't too small, but big enough for two people. They had a small living room with a couch and a small TV, and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom that separated them. Their kitchen was very small and lead to the living room. It was small, but it worked.

Tendou had met his roommate the evening of his move-in day. His name was Tsutomu Goshiki. He was 18 years old, a year younger than Tendou, but only because he had skipped a year to work. Tsutomu was majoring in Marketing and had a minor in Accounting. Boring if you ask me. Other than the night they met, Tendou hadn't seen him all that much since he'd moved in.

Tendou started walking over to his room to pack his bag with his books and notebooks. He quickly did his hair and brushed his teeth. He put his bag on his shoulder, grabbed his keys, phone and headed out the door. He locked the door behind himself, made his way down the stairs and out the front doors of the first year residences.

He made his way to his psychology class with a spring in his step. Tendou inhaled the fresh air from outside and admired the campus. There were many people walking around. He assumed they were also trying to get to their first classes.

He arrived at the psychology building and looked up at it. It must have been maybe 16 stories high. Tendou walked through the front door and immediately smelled coffee and pastries in the lobby. He looked around and saw a few people eating and having coffee with friends. He felt a sinking feeling in his chest reminding him that he hadn't made any friends.

He shook off the feeling and made his way towards the elevators and pressed the button for the sixth floor. The doors closed and Tendou started to feel butterflies in his stomach. He smiled slightly when the doors reopened. He walked down to the classroom he memorized excitedly over the summer. Room 615. Tendou pushed open the door and stared at the room in awe. It was a big room, an auditorium; in the front there was a chalkboard and a desk for the teacher. Seats were littered all around and faced towards the front of the room.

Several people were sitting down already. He made his way towards the third row from the front, and sat on the far edge. Tendou got his things out and looked at the time on his phone. 7:54. People were starting to file in the classroom and soon the teacher walked in.

"Good morning, everyone! Welcome to your first class of psychology 101. I am very happy to see you all here today. I am your psychology professor Mr. Ukai Ikkei. Now open your books at chapter 1."

Stepping out of his class, Tendou sighed. It was the first day of classes and the professor had already given them a 10 page paper due for the end of the week. I can't fucking believe this. He sighed again and grumpily trudged his way outside, slowly making his way towards the library.
