Chapter 10: The Chuunin Exams Part 6

Team 9 jumped from tree to tree to find a group with an Earth scroll. At first, they found a group. They confronted them, but found out that they had a Heaven scroll. Team 9 went back to looking for a team with an  Earth scroll.

After about 20 minutes of searching, they found a team from the Village Hidden in the Mist, and they had an Earth scroll.

"Okay Yui." one of them said. "Guard the scroll while Kyoshi and I go look for a Heaven scroll."

"Got it." Yui said, and the boys left.

Kyari, Masashi, and Satoshi waited a few minutes to make sure the boys were gone for good. After they saw that the coast was clear, they got ready to attack.

"We'll jump on 3." Kyari said. "1...2...3!"

Kyari and Satoshi held down Yui, while Masashi got the scroll.

"I got it!" Masashi said in excitement.

"Good," Satoshi said, "now let's go."

"Not so fast." Yui said.

She was right in front of Masashi. The girl Kyari and Satoshi were holding poofed away.

"It was a shadow clone!" Kyari exclaimed.

"Water Style: Water Prison Jutsu!" Yui said.

Masashi and Satoshi were caught by the jutsu, while Kyari was left to fight Yui.

"Water Style: Dense Rain." Kyari said, and Yui was stuck.

"That's not going to work." Yui said. "Earth Style: Fist of Stone."

Yui stuck her hand into the ground, and when she took her hand out of the ground, it was covered in rock and dirt. She punched the sticky water she was stuck in, and the sticky water flew everywhere, causing her to be set free. 

"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet." Kyari said.

The water hit the arm that Yui used that held the Water Prison Jutsu, and Masashi and Satoshi came out gasping for air.

"Thanks Kyari." Masashi and Satoshi said.

"Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu." Satoshi said and balls of fire flew towards Yui.

"Water Style: Water Wall."

Yui shielded herself from the jutsu.

"Earth Style: Earth Dragon Missile." Masashi said, and the missile pierced the waterfall and hit Yui.

"Get the scroll!" Satoshi shouted.

Kyari got the scroll and ran. Masashi and Satoshi soon followed.

"Yay!" Kyari said happily. "We got both scrolls!" 

"Now all we have to do is get to the temple." Masashi said.

"We need to rest first." Satoshi said.

"You're right." Kyari said. "We used up a lot  of chakra during the fight with that girl."

"I think there's a berry bush up ahead." Masashi said. "We can eat those then get some rest."

Team 9 ate most of the berries, and fell fast asleep.
