After Team 9 woke up the next day, they headed to the temple. On the way to the temple, they encountered some other ninja from Sound village.
"It looks like these ninja have both scrolls." one of them said.
"Let's get 'em." another one said.
"Earth Style: Earth Dragon Missile." Masashi said.
One of the Sound ninja and then did a jutsu that shattered the rock, and shattered Kyari, Masashi, and Satoshi's ears. Blood started to drip from their ears. Kyari's vision started to get blurry, then everything went black.

Kyari woke up. She saw a medical-ninja pass by her.
'Where am I?' Kyari thought.
She was in a hospital bed and on the table next to her was a note from Miyuki-sensei. It read:
Dear Kyari,
We found you, Satoshi, and Masashi about 2 days after the 2nd part of the Chuunin Exams. Masashi and Satoshi seem fine for now, but right now the village is in danger. A man named Orochimaru is trying to take over Konohagakure. The Sound ninja that took part in the Chuunin Exams are working with Orochimaru. So far nothing major has happened, but look out for anything suspicious. Get well soon!

A few minutes later, a medical-nin came in to check on Kyari.
"How long will I be in here?" Kyari asked.
"About 2 more days."
After awhile, Kyari started to get bored. She tried to sit up, but when she did, she felt dizzy and nauseous. Kyari tried to go to sleep to stop the dizziness, but she heard a lot of commotion coming from the outside of her room. Hinata was being rushed into the hospital. She was then put onto the bed that was in the same room as Kyari's. Hinata was passed out, and there were medical-ninjas using healing jutsus.
"Her chakra network is severely damaged." one of the medical-ninja said.
'Is she going to be okay?' Kyari thought.
She soon drifted off into a deep sleep.
