Night 4- No one believes me
Cammy was feeding Sundrea milk while rocking her to sleep. She was somewhat distant. She barely had any sleep last night and she was still shocked about her visitor. She had no idea why it visited her.
Finally, Sundrea drifted off to sleep. Cammy set her down on her crib. She went into the kitchen where her mother was cooking.
"Hey, mom?"
"Yes, Cammy?" she replied without looking up from the chopping board. She leaned against the doorway and took a deep breath.
"Something's in my room with me." Cammy whispered and her mom stopped what she was doing to look at her daughter's pale face.
"What do you mean?" her mom asked slightly confused.
"Something's disturbing me in my room at 3 a.m. every morning for 3 days now." Cammy elaborated and her mom looked at her in a weird way.
"Cammy, it's all just in your head. If you stop thinking about it it'll go away soon." Marie assured her daughter. Cammy was hurt by her mother's ignorance and shook her head vehemently.
"No, mom. It's real. It's been happening for three consecutive days now. You have to believe me." Cammy begged her mom but her mom would not have any of the nonsense she thought her daughter was raving on about.
"No, Cammy. I'm busy right now." she dismissed her daughter and Cammy left the kitchen heartbroken. She sat in the living room watching her neice sleep. Her brother came and sat down beside her. Carter notices his sister's distress right away.
"What's wrong?" Carter asked his sister. Cammy with tears swimming her eyes, faced her brother and leaned in closer to him.
"Something's disturbing me in my room." she whispered shakily. Carter leaned away from his sister and looked at her nervously.
"Haha. Very funny, Cammy. You got me. Now stop fooling around." Carter warned his sister nervously. Cammy got hurt by that last comment. She thought of all people, Carter would believe her but she was wrong. Carter was too scared of stuff like that to believe. Cammy's tears cascaded down her cheeks and she stood up abruptly from the couch.
"I'm not kidding, Carter. Why won't anyone believe me?" she cried and she stormed off to her room. She didn't care if something was in there with here. At least it believed her.
