Night 7- Leave me alone!

Cammy was in her bedroom reading a novel. It was 12 in the afternoon and yet she could feel the demon watching her.

"Why can't you just come back later? It's bad enough that I have to go to bed with you watching me and now you have to watch me reading too?"Cammy taunted the demon. She wasn't sure if it was a smart thing to do to piss off a demon but she was just so tired already. Tired of being afraid and tired of being stalked. Carter bursts into her room, shocking her.

"God, Carter! Don't do that!" she shrieked at her brother. Although, she did hope that the demon got irked when she mentioned God's name.

"Sorry. So what are you gonna do about it tonight?" Carter asked his sister while eyeing the room wryly. Cammy shushed her brother and dragged him to the living room.

"I can't have it knowing all my plans." Cammy hissed and Carter flinched in regret. He forgot that the demon could hear him perfectly in his sister's room.

"Sorry again. So what are you gonna do about it?" Carter asked his sister in a hushed tone.

"I'm gonna show it that I am not afraid. I'll tell it to leave me alone." Cammy answered with a flat voice. she was also wary of her plan but what else was she supposed to do?

"What if that doesn't work?" Carter asked and Cammy gave her brother a worried look.

"I don't know. All I know is that we must never lose hope." Cammy replied her brother's question with a whole lot of hope and prayers.

Cammy was facing the white shadow casted wall. Her shadow was solitary for now but not in a few more seconds. She checked her phone and it said 3:01 a.m. Cammy looked up at the wall and sure enough he was right there.

"Look, I don't know why you're doing this to me. I do know that I will not back down. I am a child of God and you have no right to have any claim on me." I told it with a certain confidence in my tone. I reached under my pillow and pulled out the rosary I hid there before I went to bed.

"Our Father in heaven,

Holy be thy name,

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.

Do not lead us to temptation but deliver us from evil.

Amen." Cammy recited the Our Father and did the sign of the cross.

"You cannot disturb me because I am a child of God and I only believe in Him. Why don't you go bother someone else?! LEAVE. ME. ALONE!" Cammy commanded it as she stood up and pulled the plug of her night light when she said the last word.

She laid back down on her bed and closed her eyes. It was weird but she felt as if the presence left her room and she finally felt that she was peacefully alone.
