Chapter 6: 1Yr Mission

[ Natsu POV ]

Ring Ring Ring

I heard my phone ring. When I answered it, it was Gray

"Hey? What do you want snowcone?" I asked him

"Do you want to go on a mission with me and Erza, flame brain?" Gray asked me. I would go but I have to be here for Luce. I mean what if when she gets bigger and can't walk or something, she is going to need my help. "Fire breath? You still there?"

"Yea I am, I don't think I'll be able to come since Luce is pregnant and all" I told him and he sighed " Sorry but I have to be here for Lucy"

"But if you come we will each get 975,312,468 (random number) jewel. That would be enough to buy a bigger place and buy some baby stuff" he said. My eyes went wide when he told me how much money I would get. I will ask Luce if I should go or not.

"Alright, but let me talk to Luce about this first" and with that, I hung up. About an hour later Luce woke up. She made bacon and eggs for breakfast, after we ate Luce was feeling sick again so I told her to go to the bathroom then back to sleep" Luce when you feel better come to the guild, I need to ask/tell you something. Good night Love" when she fell asleep I started walking to the guild.

"Stripper" I yelled which got more than just his attention, when he heard me, he waved his hand signaling me to go to him. "Once Luce wakes up I'll ask her" I told him and he sighed. "When I'm gone who is going to help Luce with everything?" I asked him. He looked as if he was thinking, which isn't a pretty thing to look at.

"Maybe Mira? She always wanted you two to have a baby so I don't think she would mind helping Lucy around the house" I think this was the best idea he has ever had. Suddenly the guild doors opened, it was Luce she saw me and came walking to me.

"What did you want to tell me?" she asked with her cute smile, oh how I'm going to miss that smile when I'm gone. Gray then go up and went to his girlfriend, Juvia.

"Well, what if I told you I'm going to be going on a mission but the reward is amazing?" she looked sad. I feel bad for making her look this way, I hate when she looks sad.

It was quiet for a while till she broke the silence by asking "How long?"

"I don't know I haven't asked Gray" I told her. "Oi, Elsa come here for a bit" I yelled for Gray, earning a death glare from Juvia.

When he got to the table he sat down and asked "What is it?"

"How long is the mission going to be?"

"I don't know, Erza is the only one that knows" he said walking back to Juvia. I got up and walked over to Erza, who was eating a strawberry cake like always.

She looked up to me and asked "what is it? Can't you see I'm eating cake?" I sat down next to her.

"How long will the mission take?" I asked her. She put the cake on the table and stood up.

"The mission will take up to a year at least and we are going to be leaving tomorrow" when she said that my eyes went wide and I couldn't say anything. How am I going to tell Lucy? "And if you do come by the time we are back your baby will already about three (3) months old" I was about to cry at the thought of not being here for when the baby comes. But the amount of jewel is amazing I mean I could buy the baby whatever he/she wants. I got up and walked over to Luce I could tell that she knew I was sad since her smile turned into a frown.

"Hey what's wrong?" Luce asked me, getting up and hugging me tightly." So how long is the mission going to be?" She asked me which made me even sadder. I don't want her to cry when I tell her I'm going to be gone for a whole year.

"Um, Luce? P-please don't be s-sad ok?" I asked her, she looked like she was going to cry but she nodded her head and put on a fake smile. "If I go on this mission I won't be back for a year and I'm also going to have to leave tomorrow" I told her, she then fell onto the floor crying.

"W-why? W-why does t-the mission have t-to be so l-long?" She asked crying into her hands. I picked her up bridal style and took her home.

[ Lucy POV ]

I can't stop crying. I want him to go on the mission but I can't stay away from him for that long. And by the time he comes back our baby will already be born and three months. I can't deal with this I don't want him to go, I want him to be here when our baby is born.

I felt someone pick me up when I looked up it was Natsu. "I love so much Natsu" I told him, he smiled and kissed me.

"I love you to Luce" he replied.

When we got home he took me to the room and we went to sleep even though it was seven (7) at night.

When I woke up Natsu was still asleep so I went to the kitchen to make breakfast, Happy was already up since he was going on the mission with Natsu." Happy are you hungry?" I asked him.

"Aye ma'am" He said jumping up and down.

"Ok here is some fish" I gave him the fish and he flew away back to his room.

"Morning Love" I heard Natsu say as he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me.

"What time are you leaving today?" I asked him

"That doesn't matter right now. All that matters is the time we spend together" I nod my head and gave him a plate of pancakes. He smiled at me and gave me a huge hug.

"Alright, I have to go to the guild and get ready. Come with me love" He said grabbing my hand and leading us to the door. "Happy I'm leaving come on" Happy came into the room and we all walked to the guild.

"Are you guys ready" Erza yelled at Gray and Natsu. They both said yes.

"Luce don't forget to write to me ok?" He said as a tear fell from his eye. I ran to him and kissed him and started crying. "Love you, Luce"

"Love you to" and with that, he left. I fell onto the floor and started crying harder than ever. Everyone in the guild came to comfort me. " I love you Natsu" I whispered to myself.

----------Time Skip 7 months----------

'Dear Natsu I hope your doing ok. I love you so much and can't wait to see you, the baby and I are doing well. I found out that we are having a girl. I can't wait to see her in two (2) months. And can't wait to see you in five (5) months. -Love Lucy'

I started to cry when I was writing. I put the letter in the mailbox then went back inside. When I laid on my bed I felt my baby kick. I put a hand on my stomach and smiled.

"I miss you Natsu"
