"What?" The Lord said, as he jumped up, causing his chair to fall over.
"King Cheshire Cat is summoning you for the use of onions." I said.
"I...I don't use onions! The cook does!" he said starting to pace.
"Well, if I were you," I said, "I would take the cook with me and tell the King that it isn't you who uses the onions, it's the cook."
"Smart girl, smart girl." he mumbled, as he tapped his chin. "Well, I guess I better go before I am banished. Goodbye, child." He walked out of the room, yelling to the cook that they needed to go to the castle. Once I heard the front door close, I walked out the back door. I walked into the forest, and down a green path. I gotto a clearing in the middle of the woods, where a person stood next to a big black box. She was wearing black and had a large black umberella over her head. I was raining, but just over her. Nowhere else in Wonderland had rain. When I approached her, she turned to face me. Tears were streaming down her face. It must be a funeral.
"Darling," the young girl said, "where is your coat?"
"I don't have one." I replied. She picked one up off of the ground, leaving a white mouse on the ground. She put the coat in my arms. I put it on.
"Hey!" the mouse yelled at me. "Now, I'm getting wet!"
"I'm sorry." I said. I picked him up and put him in a pocket that was inside the coat, close to my hip. The girl handed me an umbrella. I opened it up and put it over my head. "What happened?" I wispered to the mouse.
"Maggie, tell he the story of the Hatter and the March Hare." the Mouse said. The girl nodded. I recognized their names from the book. Maggie looked at the big black box again. Then she started her story.
