Chapter 1: Blue's Secret Sister
Riley's P.O.V.
It has been a month since Reef left. We gave up hope knowing if he would come home. He never did. Blue went into depression afterwards. Bruce and Kahuna have to keep pointy objects away from him. No one told them that he could also kill himself by drug overdose. That is what he exactly tried to do. I managed to stop him. He was sad that he lost his best friend and I guess he wanted to see him again. Blue is currently taking a nap at Bruce's house and Kahuna is there. I decided to take a walk down the beach. Reef brought me out of my shell, and he made me gain trust between merman and mermaids, if I ever met one, and now he is gone. The little girl we met a month ago never got to see him again. I was sad myself. If I had only known something was wrong, I could've helped him. I don't care about the deal we made. I want to find Reef, not only for Blue and Kahuna, but for me. I need to tell him that I want to thank him. But I will never get to do that. Then I saw something in the water. I walked over and saw a mermaid. Wait, a mermaid?! She looked a lot like Blue.
"Uh oh." she said. She dived under. I jumped in after her. She turned around and saw me. Her eyes widen. I waved at her. We both surfaced.
"Who are you?" I asked her. She had a seashell tiara on her head.
"I should be asking you the same question." she replied.
"I'm Riley." I said to her.
"I'm Hestia. Blue's younger sister." Hestia added. My jaw dropped. BLUE HAS A SISTER AND DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO TELL US!!!! Ooooo, Blue, you better watch your back.
"I have a question." Hestia asked.
"What is it?" I asked her.
"Why did you have legs?" she asked me. I sighed and explained everything. By everything, I mean EVERYTHING.
"Wow, Poseidon is gonna be upset." she said. I turned to her.
"Poseidon is always overprotective of Blue. He is gonna be a wreck." Hestia added. She told me how she was in a mermaid pod. Poseidon is the oldest, Blue is the second oldest, and Hestia being the youngest. I told her to go to this address later. She nodded and dived under. Ok, now time to confront Blue of his sister. I dived under and swam to Bruce's house.
Once I arrived, I went to find Blue. I saw him in kitchen. He was messing with some water.
"BLUE!!!!! GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE!!!!!!!" I shouted. Blue dropped the water in the sink and walked in my direction.
"What's up?" Blue asked.
"YOU HAVE A SISTER AND WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US???!!!!!!" I shouted at him.
"Because she is in another pod, and we really don't talk often. She is mean and rude." Blue said leaning against the wall.
"Well, you can talk to her again." I said. Blue's eyes widen.
"What do you mean?" Blue asked me.
"Well, I sorta....um.......invited her....uh...over." I said while looking at my shoes.
"Nooo...." Blue whined. I rolled my eyes.
"Too bad, we are meeting her." I stated.
"Fine." Blue said. I went to find Kahuna. I found him looking confused as Bruce typed on his computer.
"What's wrong Kahuna?" I asked him.
"How can Bruce do that?" Kahuna asked me while pointing at the computer.
"Forget about that, come on, we are going to meet Blue's sister." I added. Bruce stopped typing and twisted toward me.
"WHAT?!?!?!" They said simultaneously.
"Blue has a younger sister." I repeated. They both gasped.
"WHY DIDN'T HE TELL US??!!!" They both shouted. I shrugged my shoulders.
"She will be meeting us in Bruce's pool soon so I guess that we should get going." I told them. They noded. We are off to meet Blue's sister.
