The Next Generation of Avengers

The Beginning

I know that the last chapter didnt go down great, but I'm going to continue anyway.

They were all given the same instructions by the man, "Pack your bags, say your goodbyes. You won't be going home any time soon. At least, not if I can help it".

"Meet me at the place where they first met. 8pm sharp. Don't be late, it won't end well for anyone."

They all followed his instructions, and at 8pm they were all aboard the hellicarrier. This was the place where the Originals had met for the first time all those years ago. It had been the start of so many battles, so many victories and, of course, a few defeats, for they were Avengers.

They saw each other before they saw him. He was hiding in the shadows, it's what he does best.

He stepped out once he knew they were all there. Nick Fury wasn't going to step out of the shadows unless everyone was there to see it.

"You are all here for the same reason, " he began, "You said yes. Yes to being an Avenger, yes to fighting the bad guys, yes to putting your lives at risk".

"All of you have different strengths and weaknesses. I expect you to learn these, and to help each other improve. You are a team now, you have to learn to trust each other, otherwise, you're screwed".

"Being an Avenger is about more than just being fighter, about more than just protecting people. It's about being strategic, being smart, being efficient".

"You will all be moving into The Tower. You will train together in hopes that you will learn to fight together. I expect you all to get along."

They all had their own rooms in the tower. Boy's rooms were on one floor and girls rooms were on another.

The girls were on the 3rd floor and the boys were on the 4th.

The 1st floor was a guest floor and the 2nd floor was a lab for Maria and Mason.

The 5th floor was a living floor with a kitchen, lounge room and dining room all set out in an open plan.

This floor had gaming consoles, giant TVs, state of the art appliances, a huge dining table and even a few musical instruments. It was for the teams days off. It was a distraction.

The roof had a pool. With deck chairs, water guns, donuts and gadgets to keep the young adults satisfied.

The other floors included a conference floor for Skype messages from S.H.I.E.L.D, a training floor with targets and a gym, a ball room for public functions and a floor for Avengers memorabilia.

The Tower was tall and deeply intimidating when you first looked at it, but on the inside it was beautiful. And the Next Generation Avengers knew this.
