I'm sorry that it has taken so long for me to update, but 'assignment season' - what I like to call this time of year - is almost over and holidays are just around the corner, so updates should be more frequent. Then again, I don't even believe myself when I say that anymore, so why should you?

She really was beautiful, if not in her own eyes, then in his. He loved her, but he knew how much better she could do. That's why he had understood it when Dayna wanted to pull away from James. She felt she didn't deserve him, Nathaniel understood that feeling. He felt it with her, but then again, he felt it with almost everyone.
"You should come, you know," said someone behind him. "And stop staring at Maggie. It'll just creep her out."
He turned to find Dayna standing there. This wasn't really a surprise to find her away from the crowd. Dayna generally enjoyed being around people, but after awhile, she often found her mind wandering. It probably didn't help that James was currently in Monaco on a high-risk mission.
"You know, one day I will sense you coming," Nathaniel told her before adding, "And from that day on I will finally be able to avoid conversations with you."
"Avoid me? But why would you do that to yourself? I am the most inspiring person ever and you are lucky enough to be able to talk to me. I mean, I have faced so much in my life, but I have remained strong and because of that I am an idol that everyone should worship. Right?" Dayna questioned, her voice flooded with sarcasm. This caused laughter to spill from Nathaniel's lips.
"Seriously though, just come to this stupid party. I need someone to judge the guests I don't know with," Dayna added, her voice becoming serious.
"Okay, I'll come. But only because you are such an inspiration and I worship you," Nathaniel joked.
"Good. Now, let us get back to the people. They may be annoying, but they have their good moments, right?" Dayna commented.
"Right," Nathaniel finished, for once, not looking into the past, but instead to the future ahead.
