Kade's POV

I went back to the office and I still couldn't believe I could ask her out. I saw her sitting on one of the computer's editing something.

"What are you editing?" I asked her.

Esther's POV

I winced when I heard Kade, who just entered the room talking to me.

"I, ehm, I'm editing a video for Chance and Anthony while they're out with Jake." I tried to not look up because otherwise I would turn red like a tomato, and I didn't need that again.

*an hour later*

I tried to add an sound effect to the video, but it didn't work and the only thing I could here was the error sound every time I tried to change it.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I said out loud without really noticing.

"Can I help you with something?" Kade turned towards me laughing.

"I'm trying to add that sound effect, but it doesn't want to go where I want it at." I answered with a grumpy sound to my voice.

"Let me see that." Kade put his chair beside me and started to do some things in the editing program. I had some skills but still had no idea what he was doing there.

I got distracted, because he smelled really good, and the view wasn't that bad either.

"Done, and it's not nice to stare at people." He said laughing.

Are you stupid, why did you stare. You can't fall for him. I said to myself, when Kade pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, eh, sorry, and I thank you" I stuttered while my cheeks felt hot again. Great, here we are back with the tomato-look.

"Is there anything else I could help you with or are you finished editing." He asked smiling.

"I guess I'm done."

"I'm also done for now. Would you like to grab some coffee with me in town?" He asked.

Wait, what did just happen. Did he ask me out? I can't say yes, I'm still pretending to be with Chance, but maybe this isn't meant to be a date, I mean why would he ask me out. But still I don't like coffee.

"No, thank you." I smiled awkwardly, seeing his mimic suddenly change from happy to confused and kind of sad. I couldn't stand seeing him like that and probably he just wanted to be nice.

"I mean I don't like coffee, but maybe you could show me around the city a bit, I haven't had a chance to see anything here." I could already tell this wouldn't be helpful if I don't want to fall for him, but my brain doesn't work as rational as others.

His smile came back. "Yeah, of course. Would you like to see the city centre or we could drive to Santa Monica Pier."

"I always wanted to go to the Santa Monica Pier." I said excited, because I seriously always wanted to go there.

"Ok, in ten minutes out front?" he smiled.

"Alright, see you in ten." I said leaving the office and running upstairs.

I ran to my room, seeing Tessa filming for her vlog. When she noticed me she turned her camera off.

"Hey, what are you so excited about?" she asked.

"I am going to the Santa Monica Pier. I always wanted to go there at least once." I answered hectically grabbing my purse and shoving everything I needed inside.

"Are you going on your own?"

"No, Kade's taking me."you could definitely hear that I was also excited about that.
