The Relationship Prank - Kade Speiser FF (w/ Chessa)

Kade's POV

Did Esther and I just had a moment?! And Chance didn't seem to be bothered by it that much.

Either they have such a good relationship and it didn't matter to him or they have such a bad relationship and they don't care about each other any more. But if they were nearly broken up, they have to be really good actors to act like being still best friends. Though it would explain why they start calling each other weird couple names, they probably want to cover up the fact they don't have feelings anymore, I mean who would enjoy to be called "twinkle toes" or "sweet honey bear".

Maybe I should try to get with Esther, but I should find out if Chance has feelings for her or not.

Esther's POV

I could still feel the heat in my cheeks, when I turned my back at Kade and started to collect the remains of the balloons. I didn't really care if someone cleans up, because there were only a few pieces laying around, but I didn't want to face Kade anymore, at least as long as I looked like a tomato. And just going inside to avoid him didn't cross my mind at that time.

"Do you need any help or can I go inside?" Kade asked.

"N-no, it's fine." I said, still having no clue why I act so weird.

Since Chance and I broke up 5 years ago after a short amount of time together I didn't had another love interest besides a tiny crush or something but nothing that really counts. I tried to focus on school and didn't really care how many relationships my friends had, I was happy like it was. But why do I feel so nervous when Kade and my hand touched and couldn't look away anytime I saw him? In case I started falling for him, I had to stop. I wouldn't be here forever and  it wouldn't work out anyways while the prank was still on. This stupid prank isn't as much fun as I thought it would be.

Chance pulled me out of the thoughts, when he called me inside, asking if I would also like some pancakes for breakfast.

I nodded and took a seat at the table waiting for the food to get ready.

When the pancakes were ready Chance gave me a pile on a plate and put the other one in front of him. While eating I could not stop thinking about the encounter with Kade yesterday and this morning, when I heard Chance saying my name pretty loudly, probably because I didn't react the first times.

Nobody was with us in the kitchen so we didn't had to act like a couple and could talk normally to each other.

"So, could you already figure out, if Tessa might be interested in me?" Chance asked, trying not to talk to loud.

I thought I didn't hear properly, because who couldn't see that she's more than just interested in him.

"Are you kidding me, right now?!" I said way louder than I planned.

His eyes widened, and I managed to turn my volume down a bit.

"From the moment you announced, we're dating I could tell she likes you a lot without even asking her. How is it possible you didn't notice that by yourself by now?"

"Seriously??" his eyes widened even more and he grinned like a Cheshire Cat. "I thought, she was acting friendly towards me, because you know, we all are friends in this house, and I thought she just had a rough day, yesterday.." he said ruefully.

"Oh boy, you are so blind with love." I chuckled. "I assume the prank's still going on, even though we already know that Tessa likes you by know?"

"We need the content, and it would be still funny to annoy the other people in the house." 

"Can we at least try to be not that clingy to each other when Tessa's around? It breaks my heart to see her that sad." I asked with a concerned facial expression.

"I think that's doable." he smiled.

We continued eating, when I had to think about Kade again. Even though Chance would know I might be interested in him, I had to asked if Kade had a girlfriend.

"Do you know if Kade is in a relationship?" I asked carefully. I could see Chance nearly choked on his last bite, when I finished the question.

"Ehm, no I don't think so. Are you interested or why are you asking?"

"What.. Me?! NO! I was, ehm, just curious.." I tried to sound totally calm, but to be honest everyone could tell I was interested.

"Yeah, right." Chance laughed, while putting his stuff in the sink.

I sat there finishing my breakfast while Chance went into the office.

Chance's POV

It was cute that Esther's interested in Kade. He's such a nice guy and I could see them together.

I went into the office, to asked subtle if he's also interested in her. That's the least I can do for Esther, when she's helping me with my love life and the prank.

I took a seat in the office, when I thought how I could find out if he's interested.

"How long are you together with Esther?" Kade asked pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Ehm.." oh shit, we didn't talk about this not so unimportant detail. "We don't really have a date, but we are always texting and I just asked if she wants to try it again and she said yes." I smiled awkwardly and hoped he would buy it.

"And is it working out?" Kade asked.

"Yeah, otherwise she wouldn't be here, would she? Why, are you interested in her?" I laughed asking the same question I asked her early. I knew he wouldn't say yes, because I'm her 'boyfriend' but I hoped I could interpret his reaction.

"What, no, never. I'm mean, she's really nice, but she's with you, so no." He managed to stutter, while turning a bit red. I KNEW IT I screamed inside, he is interested otherwise he wouldn't react like that. 

"Are you in here all day editing?" I asked him with a plan in the back of my head.

"Yeah, I guess so." 

"Okay, see you later." I said walking back to the kitchen.

"Hey Esther, could you do me a favour?" 

She looked at me while doing the dishes.

"Probably, as long as it isn't another prank" she laughed.

"No, but could you edit Anthony and mine video for us, we don't have time today, and I know you used to edit fan videos in your free time."

"Yeah sure."

"Great, thank you. You can use the computer in the office. If you have any questions, Kade's going to be there all day if you need help." I said winking at her and her eyes widened to the maximum.

I ran back to my room because she would probably like to kill me right now, but I'm just trying to help her.
