She entered the lobby of the newly renovated facility. She was one of the most sought after nurses and she just got hired at one of the most exclusive health facilities in the country. Dei Capili was only 22 years old but she was very hard working and loved by many that she was also quite popular in her professional circle. From the time took on her practicum and training to be a registered nurse, Dei became sought after.

"Good morning! I'm Dei Capili. I was told to report to Mrs. Montevirgen?" Dei peeped into the open door that said "Admissions".

"Dei?" replied the woman seated at the table. She sounded cheerful and welcoming.

"Oh...Deiondrea Giannina Capili, Ma'am....my name's a little too long and too difficult to spell so I use my nickname a lot more..."

"Ah...Dei....well, hello. Welcome to Resurgence! Are you in-house or...." The woman stood up from her seat and shook hands with Dei. The woman picks up some files and gives them to Dei. "Have a seat..." she offered and sat down beside Dei on the sofa.

"Oh, I live downtown....I just took the bus to get here...."

"Hmm...I see....oh, by the way, I'm Christina, head nurse.....welcome on-board! Mrs. Montevirgen is our chief....she's at the hospital now for a meeting but she endorsed you to me...."

"Hello po..." Dei said with a smile.

"Do you want something to drink? I just finished my reports and was going to get a cup of coffee....the others are still busy now with morning duties....dun muna tayo sa pantry mag-coffee...."

"Okay..." They stood up and went out the room to the pantry just next door.

"This is the office's pantry.....Dun naman yung kitchen..." Christina pointed to a door on the opposite end of the room. "Kitchen sya nung buong centre...sa kabilang side naman eh yung dining hall....." She said as she poured a cup of coffee for Dei and another for herself.

"Thank you po...." Dei took the cup.

"....upo ka....kakagaling ko lang sa night shift...mga once every two weeks, nag-n-night shift ako...." Christina said as she pulled out seats for her and Dei at the dining table. "So....tell me about yourself...."

"Hmm....I just finished training at Adams....taga-Bulacan pero umuuwi sa may Quezon City....."

"Oh...Adams....one of the top hospitals specializing in compassion therapy...."

"Yes..." Dei smiled proudly.

"Well....Matagal na akong nurse...mga almost 40 years...32 years na ako dito se Resurgence....tatlong anak, walong apo....si Ben ko, retired na pero nagbubutingting ng kung anu-ano sa bahay....parents mo?"

"Ah....my parents have their own business po.....gasoline stations sa Bulacan..."

"Oh, I see..."

Suddenly, an emergency light flashed and an alarm sounded. Christina jumped to her feet.

"Stay here!" She said to Dei as she ran out the door.
