"...buti naman umuwi ka...." Meng greeted Dei when she arrived. The two girls have been bestfriends since they were little girls. Although both were registered nurses, Meng decided to stay in Bulacan while Dei moved to Manila to work. They saw each other when one or the other would be in the same city. This weekend, Dei was "home".

"...miss ko na rin ang buhay dito sa bukid..." Dei says as she sits on Meng's bed, pulling a pillow over her legs. She looks out the window.

"Kung maka-bukid naman to....may malls at Starbucks na dito oy!"

"Alam ko..."

"...diba kabubukas lang nung McDo at Figaro nyo dun sa bayan?"

"Oo....managed by Ate...."

"Anyway....kwento ka naman....bitin ako lagi sa text text lang e...."

"....Anong kukwento ko sa yo? Eh lahat naman kinukwento ko sa yo...."

"Nabalitaan kong lilipat ka ng condo......?"

"Lumipat na....."

"ANO?! Alam ba nina Mama at Papa?"

"Shhhh! Sasabihin ko pa lang....."

"Hmm....sabagay...."

"Ano?"

"....mag-t-27 ka na next month...."

"So ano?"

"Details...saan ka lumipat?"

Dei whips out her phone and shows Meng some photos.

"BGC....yan....eto yung unit...."

"....malaki sya ha....ilang bedroom?"

"....two-bedrooms....nag-s-share ako ng rent....kuno...."

"Huh?"

".....eto naman yung kitchen....dining....living room...."

"Ganda ng layout....open....I like...."

"2-storeys..."

"Ay! Sosyal!"

"....yung bedrooms nasa taas...."

As Meng flicks through the pictures, she sees a picture of a room that seemed to have more stuff aside from just the bed.

"Ay sorry! Mga gamit namin....natambak lang nung time na kinuha yung pictures...."

"Teka! Kanina ka pa namin ng namin....sino kayo?"

"Chuck..."

"Chuck?....yung patient mo dati?"

"Oo...di ko ba nakwento sa yo?"

"Sabi mo, bumalik na sya sa Pilipinas....nagkita kayo....tapos kayo na...."

"Hmm...ambilis nga e...."

"Grabe....pero..."

"....yun nga, Chuck and I share a condo unit....his condo..."

"......" Meng stares at Dei, wide-eyed.

"....mga 3 months na..."

".....teka! teka! Wait! Stop!! Alam na ba ni Mama at Papa to?"

"....ang alam nila, may ka-share ako ng condo.....at alam nila na kami na ni Chuck....pero di ko pa masabi na si Chuck ang roommate ko..."

"Literal na roommate....bedmate!"

"...wag kang maingay!"

"....so, ano pang di mo na-k-kwento sa aming taga-bundok...."

"....ikaw na ang maid-of-honor ko ha?" Dei moves the pillow she had placed on her lap, exposing her left hand.
