The next day Jahseh came to see Genesis with a whole lot of gifts and things to do. He figured she was bored until she got out of the hospital.
Genesis smiled at his excitement, and how childish he was . They we're coloring in the books at the moment.
She never wanted the moment to end.
Genesis listened to every word Jahseh said and he noticed how quiet she would get every time he rambled on about something.
Jahseh would come everyday and notice slight changes in Genesis's appearance. She was slowly losing weight and her eye colour was lighter than usual.
Jahseh's intuition concluded that Genesis wasn't okay but he pushed that thought back many times.
The other day, Jahseh had read her a poem that he made specifically about the girl.
She cried and Jahseh thought he did something wrong so he gave her a kiss. Genesis was even happier about that.
But today, today was different Genesis was writing things down as Jahseh colored. Genesis would sometimes asked what word was that in the book she was reading.
"Genesis are you okay? ",Jahseh asked breaking the silence between the two.
"Yeah, the medicine just makes my vision a bit blurry. "Genesis said the lie.
Her days of living were coming to and end but she couldn't tell him that. She couldn't break her lover's heart.
Jahseh nodded and continued to color. He drew an outstanding picture of Genesis and he promised to give it to her when he came tomorrow.
The nurse came in and a Genesis pills to take and looked at Jahseh.
"Your a really good boyfriend for staying with her day and night. " The nurse smiled making Genesis almost choke on the pills.
"Th-thats not my boyfriend. "Genesis said making Jahseh raise his eyebrows.
"She means not yet." Jahseh said to the nurse as she walked out of the room.
Genesis gave him a blank expression before they both fell into a fit of laughter.
"I can't wait til you get out of here. "
The boy said making the girl stiffen up.
