Ironic Places

So, at our school, there is always a send-off for the sports teams that go to state. This consists of the band playing pep music, the team standing on a podium/bleacher thing, and someone talking about how great the team is and introducing everyone. The team members then get candy tied to a balloon. The ironic thing is that the orchestra, who, for the most part, aren't very interested in sports and are only there to hear the band, get the best spots because we're closest. Like, we stand so close that I can feel my organs vibrating.
