I didn't mean to kill her.

Yet I did.

My fingers caress her soft raven colored hair which is knotted at the ends. Around me the chatter of the forest breaks into chorus again. Birds chirp and squirrels chatter. Wind rustles the trees violently, managing to shake the the branches until they were wobbling in place.

I find my eyes staring at the girl, observing her beauty. She was so young, perhaps only 17. I take my clammy fingers and shut her piercing blue eyes. Her now dead cold, icy eyes. I stand onto my wobbly feet and scan the area. No one else seemed to be around.

I begin to walk towards the stream where I was swimming in, my legs feeling like cement sticks. Slowly and stiffly I make my way to the waters edge and collect my belongings. I had a long body clinging dress with brown sandals and a picnic basket. The same basket the girl stole from. Hastily I put on the dress and begin to walk back to my kingdom.

I didn't mean to kill that girl.

Yet I did, because she tried to take what was mine.

Thoughts on the first chapter? The character of this story is named Lilith. Their kingdom is one called Alphard (yes I named it after a star). I know this is short but I promise the chapters will get longer.
