The night sky was murky and intimidatingly dark.

Above wisps of rainclouds passed slowly, rolling past the moon as if in a movie.

The stars twinkled brightly coating the night sky . My eyes fix on the dripping trees around me and I clutch the railing of the train. The rain above gently and softly falls on the roof.

Around me the whispers of civilians spread like wild fire. Ocean and violet eyes bore into me like hot lasers. It must be an odd thing to see a highly respected Alpha taking the train to Deneb.

I clutch a rose pink umbrella tighter to the side of my body wondering when this train will stop. My wish isn't far from reach as in a few minutes the train begins to screech. The wheels slamming to a halt. Taking a risky cautious breathe I step from my seat making my way to the door.

The doors slowly creak open and I step into the storm clicking a metal button to let my umbrella loose. With a small whine it lets out and I hold it above, smally smiling. I glance around noticing the dense woods surrounding the train station. More civilians of Deneb stared at me, but this time it was from afar. Their soft eyes wondering what I was possibly doing in Deneb.

Nervously I pull my trench coat tighter to my body scanning the sea of cizitens for Chris. He seemed to be no where. I take another shaky breathe before heading over to the main entrance hoping with some miracle he would pull up.

With each step a pit of worry continues to grow in my stomach. Rain water relentlessly falls from the sky in buckets, cascading from my umbrella onto the wet pavement. With each step the water splashes on the cuffs of my jeans. Shivering I stand awkwardly, out of place, wet and cold.

To distract myself I focus my vision on the woods. Noting how the trees swung back and forth wildly. Noting how sheets of rain streamed from the clouds. As I continue to scan the drenched forest something catches my eye. Glowing red and sinister eyes peer at me. Blood red, the liquid that flowed from its victims. I take a baby sized step back, my heart racing in my ears. Someone grabs my shoulder and I'm about to scream when he steps into view.

His wavy hair slicked back by water, a sly foxy smile spread across his face. His white pearly teeth momentarily draw my attention to his lips before I focus my eyes back to his.

"How are you holding up Lily" he teases dragging out the nickname he would use on me when we were lovers.
"Perfect" I lie even though these weeks have made me feel like I can't breathe.
"Come, we must make this quick, you know the contestants of this years games are already residing in my home."

I nod my head and follow behind Chris's broad shoulders. Climbing into the back seat of his sleek and charcoal colored car, I note how it is the same color as the sky.

Golden and orange flames tango side by side in the stone fire pit. I extend my hand trapping the heat on my skin. Behind me the clanking noise of cups breaks a peaceful thick silence.  Chris comes into the room with a tray of pasteries and a tea kettle. He pours the green liquid into a mug before passing it my way.

"What kind is this?" I say wrinkling my nose as the scent fills my senses.
"It's shrub tea, a delectable in Deneb."

Again my nose twitches but I put the mug to my dry lips. At first the taste is unbearable and I almost spit it back up. But after a moment the hot liquid calms my nerves and I continuously drink it.

"So" he says quietly using a spoon to stir sugar in the tea " why did you call me saying you were coming. That it was an emergency."
"Today there was a traitor. I found out the beast is living in your forest. In the Deneb forest."
