"If you don't roll down the window I'm going to throw up."

My words tumble from my mouth clumsily and in a low tone. Our driver Charlie chuckles clicking at the button until the window slowly and creakily rolls down.

Once the fresh cool air drifts into the car I feel slightly better, but still groan with my head on my knees. To attempt to distract myself from car sickness I dig my claws into my ankles, focusing on the feeling of the pain.

"It's cold" Cayson mumbles pulling at the sleeves of his shirt.

I glance over at him before visibly rolling my eyes. Just because it was raining didn't mean it was cold.

"It's not" I mumble sticking out one of my palms pretending to collect the rain drops.

My body shivers as the icy drops make contact with my heated skin. Still I put on a fake smile determined to not let him know he was right. When the car ride first began the rain was a light shower, the ambient temperature only being that of an early fall. Now each drop was icy and toe curling. Seeming to chill you to the bone.

"Fine, you can roll it up now" I say quietly my teeth begging to clatter uncontrollably.

Like before the window rolls up creakily, moaning and groaning as if protesting to go into its resting place. I continue to sit with my cheek against my knees. The affects of sickness spreading throughout my entire body. Maybe it was a mistake to ride to the Deneb pack.

"Lilith" Cayson calls and I squint at him. He seemed to be spinning.
"Come lay your head on my lap I have something that will help with the sickness."

I shake my head and close my eyes the stubborn part of me protesting.

"Lilith" he says in a more commanding tone "I'm not going to strangle you. Come on."

I sigh loudly before shifting my position. With my head on Caysons lap I squeeze my eyes shut, the swirling and moving of the car getting to my head.

"Alright I'm going to say something and your going to imagine it ok?"

I nod my head my eyes still tightly squeezed.

"Ok you are not anything in particular. Your just invisibly observing ok?"
"Ok" I say softly.
"Imagine the trees around you. The color of spring green. Each Lush and vibrate. Squirrels play tag on the trees jumping around on the ruff bark. The green leaves shade the baby birds from the sun as the sit in their nest. Below is a river with sweet clear water."

My mind begins to visualize the scene and it almost feels like I am there. I feel Cayson's fingers begin to stroke my thick hair slowly and I have to bite my lip to keep from smiling.

"Now imagine all the fish that are swimming in the water. Some are a coral pink. Others are a jungle green. All moving through the slick waves."

His fingers continue to play with my hair and I suddenly don't want his fingers to stop. Luckily they don't. As if on a loop those magical fingers run through my strands before repeating the action.

But I can't seem to relish in Caysons touch as the car comes to a terrifying hault. I fly out of Caysons lap onto the ground. Growling I sit up and glare at the driver.
