~Keri's POV~
All three boys also wore regular clothes like Calum. One boy has purple and black dyed hair, one has blond wavy hair, and the last boy has a blond quiff. The last boy caught the most of my attention, but in the weirdest way. As he neared me, my insides tightened and my head ached. I began to become light-headed. My eyes fell shut and my body lost its balance. Right before I gained unconsciousness, I felt two strong arms catch me.
........................
I woke up remembering the pain of the past. From the ball, to the kidnap. Demons blocked parts of my mind from revealing any good memories. Most of all, two images stuck in my mind, following every thought so they can't escape my head. Niall and the boy with the blond quiff from yesterday. To make my day even worse, the betraying voice of my mother spoke out, "Are you alright dear?" She was standing by my bed with a worried look on her face. Her look makes me believe that she cares for my own sake, but what she has done convinces me that her look has only shielded more secrets. If a smile can cover the worst of emotions, than any look can cover up the worst of anything. Sure, Calum said that she kidnapped me so I wouldn't have to marry a vampire, but is that for my own sake? Or is that for her own because I don't mind at all marrying a vampire if it's Niall. I shook my head and my mother frowned.
Well, what did she expect? I had to endure the secret of my mother being a werewolf. I had to turn into one without warning, and it is pure agony. She took me away from someone I truly care and maybe even love, plus, away from my best friends. Not to mention, let Liam get Eleanor. Eleanor, one of my very best friends that actually knew my mother.I can't jump around all jolly with all of these issues.
I can't truly forgive her either.
"Keri dear, you need to turn into a werewolf. You're sick and our healing remedies aren't meant for vampires," she said softly, but even with that sweet tone, I flinched.
However, I haven't tried turning without the moon so I gave her a confused look.
"Just think of being a werewolf and you'll turn. We aren't the stereotypical werewolves that turn only on a full moon," she explained.
I nodded and stood up.
"What about the clothes?" I asked.
"You can shift and your clothes will still be on when you shift back."
Oh thank god. I nodded once again and thought about being a werewolf. Shift into a werewolf, I told myself. I closed my eyes and opened them to see myself at a slightly shorter perspective. Looking down, I saw my white fur and paws.
"Good. Now drink this," she said placing a bowl of liquid in front of me.
Since I can't really argue with her, I obeyed and drank some of the liquid. My headache decreased in pain and I felt much better.
"Feel better?"
I nodded my wolf head and my mother smiled.
"The young members of the pack are going for a run. You should join them. Most are about your age."
I didn't say anything, but simply began walking out the room to what looked like a large forest. On my way out, my mother spoke once again.
"Keri, you're a white wolf, a rare wolf. Remember that."
What did she mean by that? My thoughts were disrupted when I heard a familiar voice. Keri? I turned to my right. Four wolves were there looking at me. A pure black wolf, a blonde and brown wolf, a red and brown wolf, and a pure light brown wolf. Yeah it's me. Is that you Calum? I said. Well, we weren't exactly talking, it was more of mind-linked communication. Yeah it's me, the black haired wolf said, I didn't know you were a white wolf. I was going to ask him a question about that, but the blonde/light brown wolf growled. Woah, what's wrong Luke? Calum asked backing away from him. So his name is Luke. I turned my head to him and looked him in the eye.
A strange feeling erupted, like dozens of butterflies pushing my stomach, making me want to come closer to him. Like a bee attracted to honey, I was tempted to be pulled closer to his blue eyes. It was similar to the way I felt with Niall. Wait what? I can only love Niall. Right? Luke muttered, mate. A mate? Like werewolf mates? Oh no, this can't be right. Earlier as a vampire, he made me sick, now all of a sudden as a werewolf, I'm his mate. That can't be possible, yet my mind isn't quite following that.
Mate, I accidentally blurted out. Why did I say that? Luke neared me and my heart started racing. What's going on? He finally came next to me and sat down. She's your mate? Calum asked in bewilderment. Well that was unexpected, the blonde and brown haired wolf said. I couldn't agree more. What about Niall? Luke nodded his wolf head. Hey mate? I asked. Luke turned his wolf head to me. Gosh why does his wolf have to be so beautiful. I'm going to go for a run, I said. I needed some time to think about everything or I'm positive I'll break down and the demons will attack every corner of my brain until I've lost all hope.
