Chapter 1

*flashback *

"Niall?!" Liam said and Niall looked down. I noticed Liam was crying too. "How could you do this to me?" Liam said getting back in the car and driving away.

Niall broke down lying on the floor screaming about what a horrible person he was. I didn't understand. I thought I never would.

*end of flashback*

LIAM'S POV

"How could he. How could he."

This was the mantra I chanted over and over in my head as I drove home. How could he kiss Zayn when he had me?!

It was almost a well know fact that One Direction was gay although management wasn't about to admit it. They told us that we would be hated and  the sad thing was, we believed them.

No one knows and thanks to management and the rest of the worlds opinion they probably never would.

As soon as the xfactor started I developed feelings for Niall. Plus I thought he had feelings for me too.

23rd of July 2010

This was it. There was no way I was going to audition 3 times. My singing career was over. We were almost finished packing and I spotted this blond haired boy in the corridor.

"Hey." I said and I could tell he'd been crying. "Get sent home too huh?" I said and this seemed to set him off again. I hugged him out of impulse and he didn't shrug me off.

"I've heard you sing. Your amazing." I said trying to clam him down. "They're just to stupid to see it." I said and he calmed down. "There is always next year." I said and he pulled out of my hug.

He smiled. "That depends, will you be auditioning next year?" The boy said. Was he flirting with me? "Niall." He said holding out his hand for me to shake. "Liam." I replied and he smiled at me. "I'd better get packed." I said sadly as I walked into the room.

"Maybe I could wait for you and then get your number?" Niall asked and I smiled.

"Sure." i replied to go finish packing.

I gave Niall my number as we came down stairs and we were stopped at reception. "Niall Horan and Liam Payne?" The man said. "Yeh that's us." I said.

The man smiled. "Come with me please." Niall and I shared a confused glance but followed the man anyway. We arrived in a room full of the other contestants and we joined the group.

"If I call out your name then could you follow me please." The man said and he started to read out the names.

"Zayn..." The man paused, "Malik, Liam Payne." I breathed in shock and people thought I was hyperventilating. "Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan." The blond beside me smiled and bit his nails. "Follow me please." The man said and we all followed him.

I was pretty sure by the end of this we would all have no nails. We were all sat in a room, all biting our nails. "I bet they've kept us back to make us cry, good bit of telly." The boy called.. Harry? I think it was.

Niall smiled up at me and patted my hand. "You'll be fine." Niall said and I smiled. "Boys." the man said and he waved his hand for us to follow him.

We were taken onto a stage with some other girls infront of the judges. "We've decided that you acts are all too talented to let go." Simon said, "So we have decided to form two bands!"

I stood there in shock as Louis jumped on Harry and Niall suddenly wrapped his arms around me. "It looks like fate wants us to be friends." Niall said and winked.

We all went backstage. I think we were all in a bit of shock. The main thing on my mind was, what were we going to wear?

I felt a hand ontop of mine and I looked at the blond boy smiling. "Li can I talk to you?" Niall said and I nodded. Li? I wondered.

"I was wondering if I could talk to you about something important." Niall said and I just smiled still in shock from being put through to boot camp.

"Now we are part of a band I don't want there to be any tension between us so if you act badly about this can we just forget about this?" Niall asked and I frowned.

"Sure." I said and Niall proceeded. "Are you gay?" Niall asked and I almost choked on my own spit. "Umm I'm bi." I said blushing. Niall took my hand. "Its nothing to be embarrassed about." Niall said and he smiled, "I'm gay." Niall said and I suddenly knew what he was going to say.

"I think I have feelings for you Liam." Niall said and he leaned in. "Stop." I said and Niall looked down. "I'm sorry." Niall said and broke his hand from mine. "Niall wait," I said but I stopped him.

"I don't know how I feel about you but there is time." I said and Niall looked up hopefully. "This is all happening too fast, I'm sorry." I said and Niall smiled.

"Don't apologize, maybe we can try again once the xfactor is over yeh?" Niall said and I nodded thankfully.

"Lets get back to the boys yeh?" Niall said and he kissed me on the cheek, winked and walked out of the room.

(Present day)

That was the day my life changed. For the better. I got a phone call from Niall which I rejected and he kept calling. I finally picked up and screamed into the phone, "What do you want?" I said.

"Liam I can explain!" Niall pleaded and I heard a voice in he background. "Babe come back to bed!" I heard Zayn shout and I slammed the phone down.

This. Meant. War.

I picked up my phone and called Perrie.
