Chapter 17

LIAM'S POV

We were at Niall's house and I couldn't fight the blush off my face. Luke had rejected my kiss, again.

Harry and Louis were sitting on the couch holding hands and looking adorable. They were so cute together. It made me so jealous.

Niall was about to play spin the bottle so I went and sat with him. Anything to get my mind off Luke.

LUKE'S POV (zayn)

"Hey Luke!" Louis said winking at me. He knew what was up with me. "Louis." I said smirking and walking past them to a group sitting in a circle.

"Hey Luke." Niall said as I sat down and then instantly regretting it as he placed a bottle in the middle of the circle.

I tried to get up but Niall stopped me pulling me back down. "Come on man! It'll be fun!" Niall said slurring his words.

I then spotted a rough looking Liam sipping beer and smiling softly at me.

Niall spun the bottle and had to kiss some ginger boy. A few more snogs were shared untill Liam spun the bottle.

It felt like it was spinning for hours when in reality it was just mere seconds.

It landed on me. Just my luck. I froze and sat still in my seat as Liam blushed and walked across the circle towards me.

This was really happening. I couldn't back out. I just had to hope for the best.

This mask was hard to make seem real at the best of times and I had no idea how to make my usualy instincts during kissing come through a mask.

Liam leaned and pressed his lips to mine (sort of my lips) and then almost immediately shot backwards.

His for head became creased and my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest. Everyone had seemed to loose interest and began talking amongst themselves as Liam turned me head from side to side seeing the slight difference in skin tone from my face to neck.

He brought his hand to touch my face. I couldn't do anything. He already knew it was fake, I knew it.

I was gonna have to face this at some point. I sighed. "Look Liam, I have a perfectly good reason for all of this." I began to explain before he found out.

"And I want you to know, I really do like you, in that way and I know that after I do this you probably wont want to know me." I said.

I took a deep breath and began to peel off the mask. I heard Liam gasp and his gaze turn unreadable when he saw.

"Zayn?" He almost whispered touching my face and then his face turning angry.

"ZAYN?!!" He screamed and tears were rolling down his face. "HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME!" Liam screamed and I stood up. People had began to watch.

"WAS IT ALL A JOKE? The whole time you were laughing at me and joking with everyone about how stupid I was? God how could I not see it!" Liam said pulling at his hair and his face turning red.

Niall gasped at me and Louis hurried over, Harry in tow. "Was this your plan all along?" Liam questioned his voice harsh and angry.

"No, no Liam I really do like you." I whispered bringing my hand up to his face and he flinched away. "Don't touch me." Liam said and it broke my heart.

Liam began to push his way through the crowds and I ran after him. He got in his car about to lock it but I was faster.

I got in and he glared at me trying to get out of the car. In a hurry I swung my leg over Liam straddling him and pushing him back against the seat.

"Zayn get off me." Liam said blushing and I shook my head. "You wont listen to me and this is the only way." I said and Liam rolled his eyes.

"When you found me and Niall kissing my whole world fell apart. Not only did I loose the guy I had a crush on, but also one of my best friends. I released anger in you and I forgive you for all the times you punched me, because that's what love is.

At first I became 'Luke' so I could stay with you all but then I began to fall for you and you began to fall for me. I was still Zayn the whole time, just with a different face."

Liam smiled slightly and I knew I was getting through to him. "What I'm trying to say is that I am in love with you and no one else. I would be crushed if you were mad at me. Even if you don't want to be with me, I need my best friend back." I finished with tears in my eyes and Liam looking at me with an unreadable expression.

Then he put his hand on the back of my neck and pulled me in. When our lips touched I was in heaven. All I had wanted for the past weeks.

When we broke apart Liam blushed and I smirked. "Of course I forgive you." Liam whispered and I sighed in relief.

"So, Liam James Payne," I began, "Would you care to go on a date with me?" I asked and Liam turned scarlet.

He nodded and I collapsed on him embracing him tightly. "I love you." I whispered into his ear and Liam squeezed me and said 4 words that changed my life.

"I love you too."

Cheesy but, meh...

I can't really think of anymore ideas to keep this story going and I think its about time i just finished the story :P Unless anyone can think of new ideas there will be two or so more chapters and then an epilogue :) Thanks for reading!!!
