CHAPTER 7

"I knew it. I'm sorry" he said looking down disappointed at himself.

"No you didn't know! Don't blame yourself, I was in it just as much as you were..I just wasn't thinking until now." I said.

"Oh alright...I'm still sorry though" he said looking at me in the eyes.

"It's okay. But by the way, I enjoyed that." I said with a laugh.

He laughed a little too.

"Oh really now?" He asked.

I giggled and nodded.

He came a little closer and kissed me very passionately. I felt something when we kiss that I never felt with Riley or anyone else. It's crazy.

Luke got up and went in the kitchen. I just waited for him to get back from whatever he's doing. He came back with our clothes.

"Here ya go." He tossed me my--his shirt and my yoga pants.

"I really wouldn't mind it if you left them off, but it's your choice." He smirked.

He took off his basketball shorts and climbed into the bed.

I looked at him funny.

"What are you doing?" I asked laughing.

"What? I sleep in my boxers!" He said with a laugh.

I shook my head and laughed.

I left my yoga pants off, but put Luke's shirt on. He grabbed my waist and pulled my body against his and wrapped his arms around me.

"Night baby" he said and kissed my head.

"Night" I said.

*IN THE MORNING*

It was 8am when I opened my eyes to the little sunlight peeking through the window's shade.

I looked over at Luke to see him stretched out on the rest of the bed and the covers off of him. His arms were under the pillow while he was lying on his stomach. His hair was all messy and curly, it was pretty darn attractive. I check my phone to see a few texts so I opened them up.

One was from Allison.

Allison: Hey girl, you never texted and told me you were staying the night! I guess I know what may have happened..😏

Me: Hey, sorry! I totally forget because we just got to talking and stuff. And no, we didn't do anything.😉

I checked the next one. It was from my mom.

Mom: Hi honey. I haven't seen you in forever! You should come up to see the family this week. I wanna hear all about life in Tennessee and that Luke Bryan concert you and Allison went to!

Me: Hey mom, I think I could plan to come up to visit tomorrow (Tuesday) and see y'all.

I set my phone back down and saw Luke still sleeping and snoring a little. It was cute. I got up and tip-toed to the bathroom. I went to the bathroom and washed my face while I was in there. I walked out and back into the room and Luke was just waking up.

"Morning baby" he said in a sleepy morning voice. Lord.

"Morning" I said back.

I sat down by him and he pulled me into his lap. I gave him a long kiss and he ran his warm, big hands up my back during the kiss. That drove me crazy.

"Whatcha want for breakfast?" He asked looking up into my eyes. His eyes sparkled, the perfect color brown. They matched his perfect, soft brown hair.

"I don't know..what do you want?" I asked.

"No, today is about you. I'm gonna make you feel like the only girl in the world." He said.

I smiled like an idiot at that.

"Alright then..how bout we go to iHop and get pancakes..." I suggested.

His face lit up.

"Yes! That sounds awesome." He said and held my face close to his and kissed me.

"Can we stop at my apartment before we go there? I need to get clothes and stuff." I asked.

"Sure baby" he said.

He quickly showered, like only for 5 minutes, then got out and put on grey Under Armour sweatpants, a Cabelas sweatshirt, and a camo ball cap. He wanted to look less like himself so people wouldn't recognize him as much.

"Alright babe, leggo!" He said. We left the bus and got in his truck.

*IN HER APARTMENT*

Luke sat on the couch and watched tv while I was in the shower. I got out and put on black Nike sweatpants, my Nike tennis shoes, and a Green Bay Packers sweatshirt. Yes, I am a fan, I'm from Wisconsin. I blow dried my hair so it was straight and did my makeup.

"Alright you ready?" I asked.

"Yes!" He said turning the tv off.

"Miss Brooke, you look stunning." He said grabbing my hands.

"And you look very elegant." I said laughing.

*AT IHOP*

We got a table and ordered without anyone noticing it was Luke. Hopefully we can keep it that way. Luke ordered pancakes and bacon with coffee, I ordered pancakes and sausage with orange juice.

"So that's an interesting sweatshirt you have on." Luke said.

"You don't like it?" I asked smirking, knowing why he said that.

"Well...we need to get you a Georgia Dawgs sweatshirt!" He said.

I laughed. "Luke I will always be a Packer fan. Like they say, 'once you go Pack, you never go back.'" I said.

He nodded.

"True..but I think you would rock a Dawgs jersey..you can rock anything but still!" He explained.

I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"Well, on the topic of Wisconsin...my mom wants to see me and wants me to come visit tomorrow and come back like Friday. Do you wanna go with me?" I asked.

"Of course I do..but I just lost my appetite because I'll have to meet the parents.." He said a little nervous.

"Oh don't worry. My mom will love you. My dad...he's always been protective but he'll like you. Trust me." I said trying to comfort him.

"Alright, well I can't wait to go on our first vacation!" He said.

I burst out laughing when he said that.

"What's so funny?" He asked.

"Well, you see, in Wisconsin it's not very warm at the moment. I know it's June, but lately it's been freezing rain everyday. I hope it stops soon." I explained.

"Audrey...I've never ever been up north except for a concert.." He said scared.

"Oh Luke...this oughta be interesting" I said.
