CHAPTER 34

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked downstairs to see Luke tossing and turning on the couch. Gosh he's so hot, I want him now.
..well my mood quickly changed.
"Luke baby I'm sorry." I said sitting on the floor in front of the couch.
He just gave me a blank stare.
"Luke please talk to me. I am really sorry about how I acted today. Honestly, I didn't want to act that way, but I just felt like it. I don't know why don't you ask the baby in me!" I said getting frustrated.
Luke started giggling.
"What?!" I asked.
Audrey calm yourself. Remember, you want him right now.
"You're too cute. I forgive you baby." He said.
I smiled.
"Come sleep with me. Ally and Carter are "sharing" the guest bed." I laughed.
"It was bound to happen at some point!" He said.
As soon as he got up I tackled him with kisses.
"Someone feelin frisky huh?" He asked in that deep southern accent.
"Oh hush. You're the one that tries gettin down to it every night." I say jokingly.
"Hey, you can't blame me. You're sexy." He said shrugging.
We walked up to our bedroom and probably made a world record of undressing each other.
~~~~

I sat down on the couch and tried looking down at my toes, but it was impossible. Seriously. Impossible. I'm 9 months pregnant. Literally, Bethanie could be born any day now. Her due date was actually yesterday, so I'm scared she's going to decide to come at an awkward time.

I guess I'm just not mentally ready for all the pain I'm about to receive.

I turned 21 just last week, but I won't be able to actually drink legally for a while.

Luke and I's wedding is in 2 months. Everything is set in stone and ready. I'm so excited to marry such an amazing man.

"Lukeeee babyyy"

"What darlin?"

"Can you pretty please get me a bottle of water?"

"Sure thang."

It is hot as hell outside, I'm big and pregnant, and very uncomfortable. I just want her to come out soon. The hot, sticky weather is making this much worse.

Luke came back with my water. I thanked him and gave him a kiss. I could of gotten my own water...but when you're 9 months pregnant in 95 degree weather, you let me know how easy it is.

"Luke I just want to have this baby already." I groaned.

"I know baby. Just give her a little more time." He patted my thigh.

"Luke this is hard. Nobody prepares you for this!"

Before Luke could talk I felt a horrible pain. It felt like I got tazed in the stomach and then wet myself.

I grabbed ahold of my large tummy and gasped.

"Audrey baby are you alright?!" Luke kneeled down before me and looked me in the eyes.

"Luke it hurts!" I yelled.

"Let's go to the hospital" he said carefully helping me up.

I felt my shorts and either I actually did pee, or my water broke.

"Luke I think my water broke." I said as I grasped onto the seatbelt as he set me in the truck.

"Oh oh okay umm let me go get the hospital bag!" He quickly left my sight and ran in the house. Not even a minutes later and he was out with our bag.

"Is the carseat in the back?" I ask.

"Yes" he said as he stuck the key in the ignition.

Luke went way over the speed limit to the hospital. This pain was worse than any other pain I've ever felt. It's almost like getting stabbed, but repeatedly. Although I don't know what it feels like to get stabbed.

Luke ran into the hospital quickly and came back out with a lady and a wheelchair. The lady and Luke helped me into the wheelchair as I screamed in pain. Luke got our bag and I got wheeled into the hospital. They immediately took me to a room and got me changed into one of the hospital gowns. I was laid down in a bed and my legs were thrown up. This would be totally uncomfortable if I weren't in excruciating pain right now.

I took a moment to take deep breaths and then remembered Luke.

"Where's Luke!?" I screeched while holding my stomach.

"He's signing papers, he's be right in." The nurse told me.

"No I need him now!" I yelled. I put my hands over my face and hoped the pain would soon go away.

I opened my eyes to the nurse beside me with a needle.

"What. The. Hell. Are you going to do with that?!" I asked, cautious of what is going into me.

"This is the epiduro. Trust me, it'll take a lot of the pain away. You're not ready to give birth just quite yet, you're only 5 centimeters." She explained.

I sat up as best as I could and she put the needle in my back, and I laid back down. Quickly, I fell asleep.

LUKE'S POINT OF VIEW:

I signed a few papers while they took Audrey into a room. I hurried as fast as I could so I could get to her, but they just kept bringing more and more paper work on me.

Right after I finished, I found my way to Audrey's room. I walked in and saw Audrey passed out on her bed. A nurse was recording something on her clipboard.

"Hello, are you Mr. Bryan?" She asked.

"Yes." I answered.

"I gave Audrey an epiduro which is just meant to take some of the pain away. She's just sleeping right now, all of this can be exhausting. She isn't ready to give birth yet though. She's only 5 centimeters." She said and walked out of the room.

I pulled up a chair next to her bed and grabbed her hand.

I can't believe my daughter is going to be born soon!

Sorry it's short! The next one will be much longer! Comment!!
