I stuttered for word. "Where- how- what the hell have you been planning all this time, O'keal?!" My only response was a chuckle before the air grew chilly, lights starting to flicker for life as something in my brother's eyes told me that he was quite satisfied at my terrified reactions.

"As I just said," O'keal stated in an almost bored tone, "We've been waiting for you this entire time."

"Why?! You haven't been here at the beginning, I haven't seen you once, you and Carissa just disappeared! What has happened?!"

This time, Carissa was the one to speak up, leaning on the wall with a smug expression that made me want to punch her so hard she can't walk. "You've already asked that question at least four times by now, and our answer will always be the same vague thing: while you and your super amazing gang have been running around in the dirt, we've been setting up this adventure for you all."

I seethed from the girl's sarcasm, but that feeling quickly turned into confusion, because... I've never asked that question before. Have I? Was this reverse psychology, I wondered, or could there be some actual truth behind it?

"You look," O'keal started slowly, "Frustrated. Would you like an explanation?"

That... That isn't him, I had started to think. Never, in his entire life, would he have said something as taunting as that. He couldn't have changed, somehow, either! All of these thoughts rushing around my brain wasn't helping my current situation.

I got even more frustrated when I tried to nod, but found that I couldn't move my body an inch; it was as if I was frozen, but still breathing. Then the horror dawned on me – I remembered that O'keal had both poison and blood powers, so he must be controlling my blood. Just fantastic. But, that means... That I must still have my fire, right?

Stealthily, my brother had raised his hand up, dictating, "I know that you have clear memory, so you must remember that moment in the past when Matt, you, and I were falling off that castle of doom to save our sorry skins, correct?"

Oh god, he's right, I had cursed to myself, I remembered it almost perfectly, as if it had just happened yesterday. There were the Demons, I think, and we were outnumbered, and then... We hopped off. Yet, I don't remember surviving that fall – in fact, it felt as though nothing happened at all.

Suddenly, in a jolt, with a flick of his wrist, O'keal flung my body across the room, and I crashed into a bunch of tables with a loud clatter. My body hung over the edge of a table as I coughed. "We- we died after that! Shouldn't we be dead right now...?"

In the corner of my vision, Carissa sneered, probably laughing at the stupid sight of me. "That is what you assumed, Faith, but there's a whole other story to listen to – if you can take all of it, that is."

I just had to wonder, what happened to make everyone so sassy?

We fell off the roof. We all grabbed onto each other, in a tight circle (although, it was more of a triangle than anything), and then... all went black. As if I passed out. Unless something happened, but that's not even possible! I would have remembered something; but now that I think about it, I don't even remember how we got to that grassy spot with everyone before it all went down.

There were no possible explanations, unless I lost memory or was hallucinating. However, my eyes widened as I thought: maybe we had done something powerful, such as telekinesis of some sort or teleportation.
