Happy Father's Day!

Amy Rose Hedgehog woke up next to her husband Shadow the Hedgehog who was sleeping peacefully next her and had his arms wrapped around her waist. Her emerald green eyes looked at the clock which read 7:17 A.M.
The Sakura colored hedgehog carefully got out of bed so she wouldn't wake her ebony lover; Amy's outfit consisted of a red shirt, black leggings that stopped just above her ankles. Once she was ready for the day, Amy kissed Shadow on his tan muzzle and went down the hall to wake up their kids.

"Time to wake up you two." Amy said as she went over to where Scarlett and Dusk were sleeping.

As the cherry pink hedgehog got her daughter Scarlett - who was the oldest, had her mother's hair/quill style but had her father's black and crimson streaked fur and crimson eyes - up. Dusk - who was Scarlett's little brother, looked just like his father but had his mother's green eyes - had just woken up.

"Mom, how come dad isn't up yet?" Scarlett asked her mother as she finished brushing her black and crimson streaked quills.

"Because, its Father's Day." Amy explained to her daughter.

This caused both Scarlett and Dusk to have a puzzled look on their faces. "What's Father's Day?" They asked simultaneously.

"Father's Day is when we do something special for dad like making him breakfast, a card." Amy explained.

After Amy had gotten Scarlett and Dusk up and ready for the day, they went downstairs and into the kitchen to make pancakes. As the pink hedgehog went to go breakfast, Scarlett and Dusk were sitting at the kitchen table making Father's Day cards for their father. Scarlett had just finished writing 'Happy Father's Day!' on the front of the card and was just about to reach for the black crayon when suddenly Dusk grabbed it first.

"Hey! That one was mine!" Scarlett said as she grabbed ahold of it.

"I need it first!" Dusk exclaimed as he tightened his grip on the crayon.

As the two of them continued to hold on to the black crayon, Amy entered the eating area to see how Scarlett and Dusk were doing making their Father's Day cards.

"Mom! Dusk won't let me have the black crayon, and I need to draw dad!" Scarlett said as Amy came over to where her and Dusk were.

"But I need it so I can draw dad too!" Dusk said in response.

"Alright, calm down you two." Amy stated as she went to go find another crayon box. "Here now you can both have a box of crayons to make Father's Day cards." The cherry pink hedgehog said with a smile on her face.

Meanwhile, Shadow had expected to wake up next to his Sakura colored mate but when he felt that she wasn't there next to him, his crimson eyes scanned the area and saw that the clock read 8:20 A.M.

Once the ebony hedgehog had gotten out of bed, he fixed his black and crimson streaked quills the way he liked them and put on his signature rocket shoes and went to go see if Scarlett and Dusk were up. As he opened the door to see if they were still sleeping, he saw that they weren't in their beds. Just as Shadow was about to take a step, his ears perked up in alert to Amy's voice coming from the kitchen which caused his crimson eyes to fill with concern; as the black and crimson streaked male hurriedly made his way down the stairs and over to where Scarlett, Dusk and his precious little Rose was located.

"Rose, are you, Scarlett and Dusk alright?" Shadow asked as he held her closely to him with a firm protective hold.

"Yes, Shaddy We're alright." Amy said while she kissed Shadow on his muzzle.
