Hathaway High, we're finally here. Its not anything like what I expected. Its huge, as in medival castle huge. I think my eyes may be popping out of my head at the sight. If This is where I'm going to be spending the rest my highschool career, I think I'll take it.

"Here you are sweet heart," Dad says sadly handing my suite case. The whole ride up here had been sad really. Amy cried the whole way, and George just sat in sad silence.

"Bye dad," I say"bye mom." I hug them one last time before heading towards the door with a very huffy Sereatha.

The walk way seemed endless, just like the rest of the grounds. Most of it was field, but if you looked a little closer you can see the woods. There were a few houses on the way up there, but it was pretty rural.

"The principals office first right?" I asked Sereatha, who in turn turned her nose up a little more in the air. Bitch.

Suprisingly it seemed as if the place was empty. There were no students in the halls, and no sign of any teachers. Maybe there all in class, I shrugged it off.

"Do you need any help?"a voice asked from behind us.

"Actually, yes we do,"my sister says fluttering her eyelashes at him. Of course she would choose now to flirt. Though I can't blame her. The guy is about 6'1 with blonde hair and dark blue eyes, and can you say built. Whew.

Without any further questions he leads us down a maze of halls, to a room labled "Principal".

"Thanks," I say politely.

"Any time," He smiles and walks away.

Well, in we go I say taking a breath. A woman with long grey hair looks up at our entry. Her stern brown eyes are sharp on the two of us. Though she says nothing she does jester us to take a seat. Maybe its not a good idea to make assumptions, but this women just gives me the chills.

"First off I'd like to say welcome and ask that you do not speak until I finish speaking, understand,"She says in a disinterested voice. Okay so maybe my assumption was right.

"Despite what you have been told this is Not a school, this is however a boarding facility. I assume you both get the geist of what you are, though I will go into more detail later. This is a boarding facility for young wolves who were not raised with our kind. Here you will be taught one basic thing:Survive. You will not be premitted to leave here, until you have taken a series of tests and passed. "

"Any questions?" She asked pausing. Ugh yeah, about a million, I thought to myself.

"Yeah, can you please explain why we have to be here in the first place. I mean its not like we did anything wrong," Sereatha said snarkily.

The women laughed ," You my dear girl are a liability to your very species. You do not know how to blend in yet. Among humans you stick out like a sore thumb. On top of that you do not know how to control your impulses. You are a predator, humans are prey. When the urge to kill arises, you will and you'll have no control over it. Here you will be taught that control,"she turned her sharp gaze to me and continued," You've already had one run in with a pack, haven't you? There are plenty of rouge packs out there, looking for unsuspecting pups like you. What they will do when they find you is anyone's guess. Your not pack, So why not kill you? Packs are very territorial, especially female wolves. Thats probably why there aren't that many of us. In fact here at the Institute, there are only 6 females. Most have been killed off by higher ranking wolves. Your best chance of surviving the outside world would be to join a pack, though they are few and far between. "She paused again to breathe.

"There are only six packs in the united states, besides your much smaller rouge packs that is. My guess is the pack you ran into was a rouge one, they can be quite nasty. At the end of your stay here you will be assined to a pack, if they choose to sire you that is. You will learn the name of all the packs in time. As females you will be snatched up quickly," she said," Now I must get back to work. My assistant Angie will be waiting with your room key and information pamphlet. "

"Oh, and girls,"her voice stops us before we leave the room" good luck."

Great, I think to myself, we're basically in jail. I think I may be having information overload as well, because I haven't been able to come up with a word to say since we got here. I mean I knew there were other wolves, but an institution full of the, I mean come on.

Angie seemed nice if not a little stand-offish. Our room number is 166. The walk there feels like its taking forever maybe because of the silence. Okay, so weird wolfy institute or not I know there are others here. I mean that's what the head master had said, but the halls were as gohstly as before. It doesn't really help that my sister amd I haven't spoken a word to each other the hall time here.

"This is it," I say as we arrive at our room. I clenched my pamphlet a little closer as I pushed open the door. The room was nice, though kind of bland. The walls were white a plain. It was however pretty large. There was a girl sitting on already lounging on the couch. She looked up when the door closed.

"Hi,"She smiled shyly,"I'm Clover, you too are the new roommates right?"

"Yeah I'm Brooke,"I gesture,"and this is my sister Sereatha." This girl doesn't seem bad. Nice even.

"It's nice to meet you. Rain will be back soon, she had to gp for a test,"She barely paused,"Would you like me to show you to your room?" Sereatha and I nodded politely.

She led us down a small hall way the led to a series of room. Two already had names on them. There were also conjoined bathrooms bettween them.

"Theses will be yours,"Clover says happily. Seretha gives a quick thank you before pushing her door open.

"Thank you," I say sweetly.
