House
"I've been wanting to tell you guys."
Peter proceeded with caution and looked at the other boys' faces to make sure they believe the 'inconceivable' truth that he was about to say.
"Huh?" Asked Joseph.
"You see there is this house that I saw in my dream a few weeks ago..." Continued Peter, "and... until today I, uh... thought that it was just a stupid nightmare... On the way here, I saw a house that looked exactly identical to the one I saw, especially as it was covered in fog and mist; it looked beyond creepy."
Peter stopped, inspecting his friends' faces which didn't seem to believe anything coming in their direction. Instead, they seemed to be eagerly waiting for the others to arrive so that they could start playing. Peter stopped trying to convince the guys and decided to try to divert the topic.
"Uh... Do you guys remember William?" Asked Peter.
"William? I don't know any William." Answered Joseph.
Peter looked at them with a shocked expression as if he cannot believe the fact that they don't know a person named William but quickly became calm. After a few minutes, Otto, the goalkeeper, passed by the field.
"What are you guys doing here? Haven't you heard? The practice has been cancelled because of the snow. The coach and some others can't get here until, like, tomorrow!"
The boys nodded in understanding and said thanks to Otto. They split off in different directions to go to their houses. Peter couldn't stop thinking about the atrocious house as he walked alone, along the narrow street towards his apartment. Seth was deciding what he was going to do with his free time and Joseph was thinking about whether he should've believed Peter or not. After giving it some thought he came to the conclusion that maybe Peter was just agitated because of something.
Seth arrived home to find his parents gone and his elder sister, Amelia, locked in her room. He didn't think much of it and so went into his room, locked the door and tried to drift off into the comfort of sleeping. After a couple of minutes, he was disturbed by a slam of the door next to his, he got up and looked out into the hallway.
The hallway looked nothing like his house's. It seemed rather grey, gloomy and old. He rubbed his eyes, unable to comprehend the situation. He turned around and shivered with fear as what he saw was not his well-furnished room but a room whose ambience resembled that of the hallway.
The dreary interior of the room contained a window, outside of which he could hear the trees rustling in the wind. He saw a bed affected by wear and tear over the years and a broken wheelchair in the corner. The mere sight made him confused and anxious he closed his eyes hoping that it was a dream.
"Seth? Seth... Seth? Wake up! Seth!" A muffled voice was heard from a distance in the darkness that covered his eyes.
Seth woke up, struggling to open his eyes as if the dream was not letting him wake up. He saw his sister sitting beside him trying to wake him up, looking really concerned.
"Wh-what happened?" Asked Seth, completely oblivious.
"What happened? You were screaming, making spastic movements while you were in your sleep! That's what happened!" Answered Amelia, appearing worried.
"It-It was a bad dream..." Seth explained, still a bit shook, "A really bad one. I'm fine... totally fine."
Seth tried to get his sister to leave his room which she did. After she left the room, he was lying on the bed thinking and not understanding what had happened. After some minutes and a lot of pondering, he pushed the thought aside, guessing that his brain was 'playing games' with him. He got off the bed and engaged himself into some other activity lest he'd fall asleep and watch that horrendous dream once again.
