Wrath
Seth and Joseph continued hearing the little girl humming as they slowly approached the rocking chair, thinking that it was coming from the object. As they neared the chair, it slowed down and eventually stopped moving and for a moment everything was silent. Suddenly an unearthly screech filled the hall, both of the boys covered their ears but that didn't help them at all. Joseph fell to his knees unable to listen to this sound, on the other hand, Seth tried his best to not give up. As he was about to give way, the screeching stopped. Joseph got up and looked at Seth who seemed terrified of something.
"What was that?" Asked Joseph.
Seth stood still, looking at something with wide eyes for a moment.
"Ov-Over there..." Seth said, pointing to a dark corner of the hallway, "Do you see it?"
Joseph turned around immediately and saw a girl in a wheelchair, her hair covered her face and she wore blood-stained clothes. The girl had the book in her hands and seemed dead, she was not moving at all and it was clear that she wasn't breathing.
"Oh no. God no... This not right... This is just not right." Joseph was in disbelief.
"What... are we gonna do?" Seth asked, gritting his teeth.
"We have to get that book... It is the only thing that can give us any clues about this... thing."
"Who will we take the book from.... it?"
"I'll do it..." volunteered Joseph."Jo, no, wait.... I'm gonna do it. You have a life worth living for but... I don't ... and besides, I can't let you go there. If something happens to you too... I'll never be able to forgive myself."
"The same thing goes for me too! I'm gonna do it, no matter what..." Stated Joseph.
As he walked towards the girl, Seth pulled him from behind and went ahead of him, moving towards the girl, gulping his fears as he took small, cautious step towards her. He stood in front of her and slowly reached out for the book, just as he touched the book, he felt something wrong. Out of nowhere, the girl grabbed his hand and pulled him towards her. She leaned forward coming face to face with him as he struggled to get a sound out of his dry mouth.
"Pain... Pain... Death... Pain..." The girl whispered in his ears.
Without even moving, the girl pushed Seth backward with a great force. He hit the chair near the dining table with a thud. Joseph was frightened but managed to run towards Seth to check he was alright.
"Seth! Are you okay?" Inquired Joseph.
"Ye-Yeah..." Seth replied, still dazed and trying to look around for the ghost.
"She's... not here..." Said Joseph, standing up, looking around and slowly moving around.
Suddenly Seth felt something grip his neck and suffocate him, he tried calling for Joseph but he couldn't even let out a squeak. Joseph was looking the other way. He thought fast as he wasn't able to breathe and needed to get Joseph's attention, so he banged on the edge of the table with his hand, using all his might. The made loud sounds, followed by some other cutlery falling down, Joseph immediately turned and looked at Seth.
