Before I start this, let it be known that I cannot write poetry. I suck at it, I always have. I know this will be bad, probably downright cringe worthy, but I'm going to attempt to complete this challenge. I was tempted to skip this particular one, but that would mean failing the challenge, and since I accepted the challenge it would be the coward's way. So on with the cringe worthy piece of zombie poetry.

Their World

The clouds roam the sky,

The dead roam the earth.

She weeps in the corner,

They creep around the bay.

The knife on her hip is a stark reminder,

She's all alone since they took her mother.

Their rotting stench and sagging skin,

how she wishes, but they aren't her kin.

She'll search for food,

they search for blood.

Soon, she'll join the dying

leaving the living behind.

After all it's their world.
