AsI scanned the room, my body froze. The world outside was collapsing,and the only thing that mattered to me was that she was alive. The air I was breathing jammed in my throat as I moved quickly toward her. Shoving anyone who got in my way aside, I was so close to her but so far away. Suddenly she turned, her back facing me as she hugged an older man. My heart was stuttering in my chest as I nearly ran to them.
I couldn't believe they were alive.
After losing them, I had finally found my father and sister.
