Not exactly sure I did this one right, but it was the first thought that came to mind.
Tightening his fingers around the strap, Jack checked his watch with a cuss. The sky was darkening fast and if he didn't hurry, he'd never make it. The best thing to do would be to lock himself up. Even though he'd probably hurt himself at least he wouldn't hurt anyone else. It was hard to think what would happen if he didn't lock himself up.
Trudging through the woods suddenly Jack clutched his arm. Looking down, he saw his skin beginning to turn gray. From experience, Jack knew what would come next. First it was the gray skin, the red patches, eventually his nails would change color, and then he'd get this incredible hunger that he couldn't control. As long as he was locked away tightly tonight would be just like any other night in the forest.
Jack had forgotten how long he had been on his own. After leaving his parent's house once they kicked him out, Jack just wondered. He wasn't even sure anymore what had happened to him if it had been a bad batch of drugs or if he just pissed off the wrong person.
He never expected something like this to happen. It was in books of course, but it was never like this.
The wind blew and Jack suddenly fell forward with a scream. He had forgotten that last month he'd broken his leg during the transformation. He walked with a slight limp in his normal form but it wasn't this bad. His fingers dug into the dirt as he peered through black forest.
Maybe he was deep enough in the brush.
He would have to be at this point. There was no moving his leg and he could already feel his bones changing under the rapidly decaying skin. Perhaps he always had a below normal temperature that it was easy to shift between them.
Shift. As he had a choice in when he became a monster.
Screaming, he tossed his head back as his teeth quickly rotted. His dark luscious hair turned lighter, almost gray nearing white. Even his eyes took on a lighter tone before the pupil seemed to die. As his body morphed, he finally saw the bright full moon peeking out from the clouds.
Just as the moon reached the high point in the sky, Jack's hunger had taken over.
Instead of the infamous howl, he released a moan into the dark black forest.
