Tryler's POV
"Tyler, where are you going?" Someone cried.
I looked behind me and saw Fred and Alex coming towards me. I stopped and quickly acted cool on my obvious attempt to leave the after class football practice.
"Fred, Alex" I cried as I faced them both.
They stopped in front of me and I could see a look of suspicion in their faces.
" I uhhm..." I said in failure of managing to say another word.
Yeah, nice try Tyler, you should probably consider the back door next time. That would have been less obvious! I thought.
"Bro, It's mid-practice, you can't just leave." Alex said.
"I wasn't gonna leave" I said trying to sound un-guilty.
Practice had just begun and I managed a few minute exposure during the warm up exercises and theirs a 10 minute break interval in every 30 minutes. I thought this was the best chance to leave. Thanks to these two my plan just got even better, now I have to think of an excuse.
"Talaga bro? then why are you bringing your gym bag on the way out?" Fred said pointing at my black Adidas bag.
"Ahhhhmm.." I mumbled.
I just coudnt think of something else. These two are my best pals in the football club but telling them about the whole audition thing won't be a good idea. They'd think it's a joke anyway.
They both looked at me, still waiting for my answer. Like two little kids waiting for their bottle of milk. It's cute but really pathetic to think that I must lie from these two.
"I..umm, I can't. I don't feel good right now." I told them still playing cool about the situation.
"What? are you okay bro?" Alex said.
Sure I'm okay. I feel good, alive, awake and enthusiastic than ever before. But not today, not today.
" okay? Nope, I umm. .. I feel like theirs a big snake inside my stomach and its choking me kinda of pain. If you know what I mean" I told them.
They both looked shocked and confused at the same time. I can't blame the look in their faces. I mean, a snake?? In my freak'n stomach??? Who buys that?
"Ahh no, never had that." said Fred with a bit of empathy in his voice.
"Is that contagious?" Alex asked sounding confused.
"Its killing me bro" I said to them.
I pretended to bow a bit lower and I tapped my stomach just to give a bit of drama.
" its killing me." I continued, trying my best not to laugh on the serious look on their faces. I realized this might have sound absurd but these two are actually buying it.
"bro, you should go to the nurse's office." Fred said, tapping my shoulder as I continued pretending to execute how it feels like to have a big snake kind of pain in the stomach.
"yeah, I probably should. " I said sounding relief.
"you know what, practice resumes in 10 minutes, we could escort you bro. Sounds serious. " Fred suggested.
